This year I just don't see it for providence. With Bentil, I think they end up in 6th or 7th. Without, they will be down this year

Hoyas lose DSR and Hayes but have added 5 players in the offseason Grad Transfer G Rodney Pryor who averaged 18pts 8 rebounds and 2 assists, JUCO All american G and leading scorer in Johnathan Mulmore, Freshman G Jagan Moseley, Get PF Akou Agau back from injury, and Point Forward Paul White back from injury. Love that of the 5 new additions to last year's team only 1 is a freshmen. Hoyas adding a lot of experience and more importantly to their issues quick perimeter guards. Adding all that to a solid core of Peak, Copeland, Govan, and Derrickson Hoyas are poised to bounce back in a big way.

Apparently Hoyas are applying for a redshirt waiver to get Hayes one more year. Would be huge if he gets it. Pun intended.

Actually I think it may hurt you guys if he is back. The game has changed. The Hoyas seemed to be a better team last year when Peak and Copeland attacked the rim and Derrickson stretched the defense from the outside. I'd thank Hayes for his 4 years of dedication and move on. Just one man's opinion and I certainly didn't watch the Hoyas as much as their fans. But if JTIII is going to ever change his philosophy he needs to let his horses run. And he may never have the horses (length, speed, etc.) to do then with this current roster.

I think you'll definitely see a different style of play. We've been telling our recruits we'll be playing differently and makes no sense to lie to them when they'll be able to see if it's true before they commit. Plus the additions of mulmore and Pryor tell me we're targeting quick athletic guards to facilitate that change of pace. That being said Hayes is a talented 7 footer it's nice to have that option to compete when going up against a team with a good big. I think he'll get less run than he did this past year if he comes back but I'd like him as an option.

My way too early Big East prediction. GTown struggles and lots of national sports media start to question wether GTown should fire JTIII or not.

I think this is a bounceback year for JTIII. Year One of the NBE was an eye opener for him, and he's been putting together a new look in the last couple of recruiting classes, This league is more skilled offensively, less defensive muscle, and his guys are ready to go now.

GT will make the biggest jump this year, imo. Just like the Hall did last year.

I just hope they can make the tourney next year. It would go a long way to getting 5 or even 6 in the tourney. The talent is definitely there.
