St John's to Add 2 Big Transfers

Justin Simon (Arizona transfer and former top 50 recruit) and Marvin Clark (Michigan State transfer) will both commit to St. John's this week. Both will sit out a year. 2017-18 season looking like it will be a very good one for St John's

Nice. Simon was a top 50 pg coming out of high school. SJU might be dancing in 2 years...

I think that should be expected. Talented front court of Sima and Yakwe will be juniors. Talented back court of Ponds and Lovett will be sophomores. Simon will help, Clark will help board, and then hopefully stud freshmen Jordan Tucker joins the team as a freshmen that year

They haven't both officially committed yet. Although I'd be surprised if they don't become Johnnies.

PC just had a visit from Clark and they were interested in Simon.

PC seems to have major recruiting issues after a hot start when Cooley was hired.

Solid pick ups for SJU.

Really like the roster that St John's has been building and looks like they will be dancing in a year or two. Also St Johns is going after power forward Anthony Livingston who is immediately eligible and averaged about 16 and 10 for the past two seasons . If he commits St John's could be a sleeper pick to finish in the top half of the conference.

I had a feeling Justin Simon would end up at SJU, very nice pickup. Don't know too much about Clark but seems like he could be a nice role player for SJU giving you some good minutes coming off the bench.

Thanks for the inside info. Always cool to get this type of info. Congrats to SJU.

Great pickups Johnnies.
Livingston is too. Had an off court issue, but hopefully has gotten squared away.

Nice goin' StJ.

Yeah, PC and Georgetown have seemed to drop the ball in recruiting recently. Depaul has never really recruited well so they don't count.
