I hate you all!!! I am in London this week on business and missed the game. I wake up and check twitter and see tweet from Holy Land of Hoops that says, National Champions. Unbelievable!

I know it's rude to laugh but this is funny. You can always watch the replay although you won't feel that excitement we all felt last night.

the thing about last nights shot. This is going to be the shot that in 2038 when they are doing the one shining moment of the 1st 100 years.... the Jenkins shot is going to be the last shot on the video.

Heard Jenkins on Mike and Mike. He came off really well. They asked him if it had sunk in yet. He was like no, but he was more in amazement that he was on Mike and Mike. Just sounded like a really likable guy.

sometimes you cringe when you watch players interview after the game. i was (almost) more impressed by the interviews from jenkins to arch to ochefu and so on. All humble, down to earth guys complimenting each other and respectful of the opponent and the game. and you look at the head coach and know where all that's coming from. just top class all around. easy to root for. what college athletics was meant to be.

I've never even seen a team from Xavier's conference get to the Final Four (Butler didn't join the A-10 until after they went to back to back Final Fours in 2010 and 2011), and so I've always watched the end of the season with sort of a detached appreciation for excellence, but not really caring much who won and who lost. And I tend to just sit and watch anyway; I don't often show a lot of emotion during games, other than maybe an occasional one word exclamation when something exciting happens on the court. But this morning I'm actually a bit hoarse from all that yelling through the stupid TV screen last night, and I have a nice new scab over the cut on my shin from when I jumped into the corner of the coffee table.

WOW! What a game! Thanks Nova, for the thrill of really caring about who won the Championship, and for delivering a game for the ages. And even better, you beat one of those few teams I really, really dislike, especially since the whole academic cheating mess at UNC came to light.

I still love all you Nova guys today, and may even do so for up to 9 months ... until I go back to hating you passionately next January.

That was awesome. Congrats Villanova. Beating teams ranked #1 (Kansas), # 3 (North Carolina), #7 (Oklahoma) and #10 (Miami). Not bad at all.

Just remembered that block/buzzer beater before half. It obviously wasn't the game winner, but that is probably 1B in importance last night. Huge sequence to end the half.
