Really happy for Novaball, Gumby and the rest of the group. We are in great company. You definitely have a HOF coach. Once again, congratulations on a great season. Being part of this great conference is a thing of beauty.

Nova deserved this one so much, after taking flak for the early exits the past two seasons. Josh Hart played like he was going to war. Mostly though I am happiest for Jay Wright. The guy is such a class act, humble and respectful, recruits great teammates and embraces the idea of four-year players. Today's victory shed the notion that you need one and done talent to win at the biggest stage.

They are SALTY on the North Carolina scout board right now... blaming the loss on the officiating. I thought Nova got a few calls their way in the first half but it evened out as the game went on

I shouldn't be surprised. More of the same from a fanbase that sent death threats to a sophomore Ethan Wragge. That said I thought the players themselves were a likable bunch. Paige, Johnson, and Jackson in particular

I was excited to come check this board after the game. I knew this would be one place where other fans would be sincerely happy with this result. And not in a, congrats your team played well, I'm glad you beat the hated uncheaters type happy. But sincerely happy that this team from this conference that you have all watched a ton pulled it off.

We are ahead of schedule from the old big east. Remember, syracuse didn't make their first final four until 1987' and it took UConn until 1999.

And all next year FOX gets to advertise the defending national champs in their promos

And congrats to xavier for beating the champs when they were ranked #1 for the first time in school history
And congrats to providence for being the only team to beat the champs in philly
And congrats to seton hall for being the last team in 2016 to defeat the champs.

And next year when the cats come to town, you all get a chance to knock off the defending champs.

The big east is still the home of champions. 1999, 2003, 2004, 2011, 2013, (bunch of big east players in 2014), and 2016. When people think big east, they think champions.
