I was terrified of playing Dayton this year because I figured Archie would've had you all amped up as hell to play us. But didn't really work out that way.

I guess that's my point- was an interesting match-up that occured because our 2 schools happended only by chance to be in the same pre-season tournament. I agree with your comment though- best damn X team I ever saw you guys put out there. Thanks for the response!

I honestly think a H&H with Dayton would be great! I think the fan interest would be good at both locations. It seems to me we used to play Dayton in the not too distant past.

Not so sure why UD has such problems. X in the A-10 never did and VCU doesn't seem to. Maybe fire your scheduler.

I for sure see where you are coming from. If Xavier was in your position I'd be asking the same thing. I think it's safe to say now UD might not want to play X(maybe not just a guess) and I know Xavier doesn't want to play UD. Was a good rivalry but it all honesty I hated it because it felt like when X when up there UD would win rather convincingly then when UD came down to Xavier I felt like it was always close. Might have just been me being nervous though. When Xavier is leading I always have the "This lead is not safe" feeling and when they're losing its always the "How are we going to cut this lead"

OK I get it- none of you want us in the league- but an honest question- why won't any BE team play us OOC? Beating us is a decent win at this point, and losing is not a NCAAT killer...

I think it's just viewed as a dangerous game. It's a tough one to win- especially playing @Dayton and even though it's not a resume killer, it still comes with that stigma of losing to a mid major.

I remember Seton Hall played a home and home with them in the not too distant past. I believe the road team won each game.

Many view the PC/URI annual game that way. And until Cooley came in we lost that game our fair share of times. It's usually a really tough game.

Next year it will be very difficult as URI should be one of the A-10 favorites with a healthy roster, including EC Matthews.

PC fans can sympathize with the difficulty of getting major non-conference teams to visit. It's been next to impossible at PC, which is why we have agreements with teams like UMass (and we play URI every year as it's a tradition and a great atmosphere). BC is the only team from a major conference we can get to come in, and they have been a dumpster fire for a while. UConn rejected our contract for a series (understandable since we spanked them quite often despite the talent differences on the rosters back then).

Yea, I would argue Dayton has the same problem many of us do with regards to OOC scheduling. And that is that the national perception doesn't match up with the reality. So opponents have more to lose than gain by playing us/Dayton.

Jon Rothstein reporting that PC will play Memphis in the opener of the 2016 Emerald Coast Classic. Next game, I believe, would be vs. Iowa or Virginia.

Fortunately for you, Memphis has chosen to keep Pastner on for at least one more year.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
