Thats big time.

Recruiting was down a bit this yr, but with howard, Spellman, ponds, and some of the transfers becomming eligible the new infusion of talent is actually right where it should be.

Yes, a great addition. He had his (apparently very talented) brother put together a video for his announcement rather than the typical hat shuffle. He comes across as humble and appreciative of the opportunities he's had so far and very respectful of all the programs that recruited him. If anyone wants to check it out it can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi1ppYuE03c

Another note; with the addition of Howard MU's 3 player class (all 4* recruits) currently ranks at #13 on 247 sports. http://247sports.com/Season/2016-Basket ... amRankings

There's still plenty of recruiting left to do and I suspect we will drop some, but I would not be surprised if the class winds up in the top 25. We are also pursuing some PF options to replace Henry.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Class of '16

Elenson aside, marquette has nice pieces on that roster. They should be back in the mix soon enough.

I think cheatham is one of the more jnderrated players in the leage. Him and kellan martin are going to bust out next year.

Great signing for Marquette.

Creighton already has two Top 50s for 2017 lined up. Things are looking good.

PC has a visit scheduled for 2016 Alpha Diallo (ESPN #94). I'm not overly optimistic but at least we are in the mix.

And it also is exciting for CU fans- next year redshirt freshman and top #50 6'11" center Justin Patton, top transer Marcus Foster -who sat out from 2015 ( K State), along with all State 2016 6'4" guard from No car Damion Mintz. Maybe more to come. Add that to the 2017 start and we are very excited to help the Big East agenda move forward.

Doubt it. Staters will probably be:
1.carter
2. Jujuan Johnson
3. Cheatham
4. ??? (Hopefully whoever takes the last scholarship they have available)
5. Fischer

Expect rowsey (transfer that sat out this year), Wilson, Howard to all get significant minutes off bench. Rowsey may compete for a starting spot. Hauser is interesting as a stretch 4 but would need to bulk up a lot. Cohen and w ellenson should see some time at the 4 as well. Team will have significantly improved shooting with additions of rowsey, Howard, and Hauser.

Also there's strong rumors a transfer (out of the program) could be coming which could change things a bit. No real indication as to who would be transferring though. Wouldn't be rowsey, Wilson, or Fischer though as they've all redshirted previously.

Worth noting that next year, MU will have at least 9 players on its roster who were 4-star recruits or higher.

Brendan Bailey (Fr.)
Sam Hauser (Fr.)
Markus Howard (Fr.)
Haanif Cheatham (So.)
Traci Carter (So.)
Sandy Coehn (Jr.)
Duane Wilson (Sr.)
Jajuan Johnson (Sr.)
Luke Fischer (Sr.)

Matt Heldt and Sacar Anim were 3-star recruits.
Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."
