Cooley is going to have three guys in the NBA in a short period of time, two as early entries and one as a top 5'ish pick.

That will help recruiting tremendously.

They just need to weather this upcoming two year storm. I actually think their pieces are better than advertised, and he knows how to use undervalued talent (thinking Troy Bell and Jared Dudley and Craig Smith finds that he had at BC). So I think he can re-gain some competitiveness soon.

1. Both grew up near the college they now coach
2. Both went to a smaller nearby college that was a better match for their talent level so they could play college ball.
3. Both married a woman who graduated from the college they now coach.
4. Both seem to be a perfect fit and set for life where they are now.

I didn't know cooleys wife went to PC! I learned today! :)

Great news from PC. Cooley is a class act.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Are we sure she went to PC? Never seen it written about, which would be strange for a journalist to not pick that up when he was hired. I know she is a former Providence police officer.

Cotton just got back in yesterday after signing a 10 day contract with Memphis. He was in China earlier this year.

Sooo, Coach signed a longterm extension? What's he making now? $750K, $1M, $1.5M, $2M?
Just asking cause now Coach Mac will want an extension and a raise. Keepin' up with the jones raise.

Difficult to say exactly.

USA Today had the below list showing all tournament coaches (Butler details were not disclosed). Cooley at 1.6 and Mack at 1.1. However, I think this only includes salary from the school per school filings (and likely from last year), so it wouldn't include other revenues like camps that are usually set up in an LLC owned by the coach.

Below article from Cooley's last contract claims the average over the full contract would have put him at 2MM per year, but again, I'm not sure he was that high.

He's got to be over $2M now with all the other incentive stuff he gets. PC's financials show him making $1.4m from the school alone in 14-15.
