Next year’s PR tournament will include Arizona State, Clemson, Davidson, Missouri, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, Tulane and Xavier. Winnable for X. X will also play UC and Wake as well as as Colorado and the Gavitt game.

Odds are extremely high given you are in PR on Thursday there will be no Gavitt games for you this year. Pretty much impossible, unless you were like a Midnight Monday game in the ESPN marathon.

Butler didn't play in the Gavitt games last year due to Puerto Rico...

Only thing there- it's 4 days before the start of the season. So that's a no go- the NCAA isn't going to open up that can of worms again.....

There hasn't been an official announcement and details are at a minimum, but from what I've heard it is going to happen. Just like Seton Hall is looking for a 2nd west coast game, it makes sense for KU to schedule a 2nd game out there if they're gonna make such a long trip.

-Granted, since nothing is official and sources are just "those in the know" on the SHU boards, i suppose it is possible that it could fall through or that it's completely made up and was never really a think (though considering how trusted the source is in the shu community, I tend to doubt the latter)

I just don't see it before the 11th(NCAA isn't opening that can of worms at all), and after the 11th is a no go for Kansas(they have that Champions thing on the following Tuesday)....

OK I get it- none of you want us in the league- but an honest question- why won't any BE team play us OOC? Beating us is a decent win at this point, and losing is not a NCAAT killer...

I don't think Dayton means much to most Big East teams... There's pleanty of options that fill the same "beat us good win, lose to us not bad" mold. Dayton means something to Xavier and that's it. There's nothing anybody is missing out on if they don't schedule Dayton and most teams would rather get a home and home with a team from a power conference.

I don't mean to disagree but I see your point more valid with the east coast teams. Creighton, Marquette, DePaul, Xavier would generate some decent interest.

I think a series with UD would be a lot of fun personally, but it is tough to sell to the casual fans when you can get a home/home with an F5 school. Generally at Marquette we do pay or power. Attendance and revenue are the idol at which we (by necessity) worship.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
