I don't know guys. Nova set the bar pretty high. Next year, if we don't get two or three teams in the Final Four, ESPN is going to consider it a sign that the Big East is on the decline. That's a pretty steep hill to climb.

Andy Katz giving the Big East some props in this video, kudos to him.

I'm enjoying Nova's run right now, and it's hard not to get excited for next year. Nova will be very good again and have guys with the experience to go deep in March. Xavier will be angry and looking to avenge themselves and I feel like that'll help. And it'll be fun to see some teams we haven't seen in the tournament for little bit. Creighton will probably be back in and I think possibly Marquette or Georgetown will surprise people next year. This conference is great

Nova is going to be really different next year. They lose at least 2 huge cogs to their team in Archy and Ochefu. Archy is like a coach on the floor. I think that's going to be a huge loss for Nova...

A lot for next year will be decided in the next 8 weeks. Does Whitehead, Bentil, and Ellenson leave. Just a gigantic difference depending on the answer to those 3.

For every elite team you're going to have players leaving for the NBA or graduating every year. Those 2 players are being replaced by Brunson and a five star recruit, aren't they? Then they got that transfer. Nova will still be a top team next year, no doubt about it. I don't think many would be surprised to see them in the top 10, and preseason I expect the AP to agree with me.

I don't care. intangibles are something that is extremely hard to replace. I mean I saw a stat that in Archy's last 97 minutes of playing time, he's got 2 turnovers. He has 8 turnovers in the month of March- in 295 minutes. I'm not saying that they're going to suck or anything like that. But they are going to be a different group next year. Very different. I mean like Gottleib said, he hadn't seen a team all year long with the chemistry of Villanova. The pieces all fit this year. Will it next year? Maybe, but chemistry is no guarantee.

They won't be that different. They still will have Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins. Two locks for first team all big east. Then you have young guys who keep getting better every game, Bridges, Brunson. Throw in Paschall and Spellman and you have you self a team that will in my mind be a 1,2 or 3 seed in the tournament next year.

Anyways, I doubt nova fans really care right now about next year they are worried about the game(s) they have coming up in the next few days

Yeah you never know. To Stever's point chemistry on this team is crazy good during this tourney run. But every year it is: "how are you going to replace this guy or that guy," and teams seem to do just fine if not improve. X lost their PG and All-BE center to graduation and it helped open up their offense and brought speed and flexibility to the defense. We lost JVP last year, and Jenkins steps in and probably improves the team more than anyone expected as a spread 4. So you just never know until they start playing and gelling.

I am really looking forward to next year because we will be so different. But the core principles will remain the same. Defense, hard work and teamwork, and one of the better coaches in the nation IMO. Hart and Jenkins a year older. More Bridges (yes please--hopefully you guys have started to see why Nova fans have been so giddy over this kid). At the very least his increased time on the floor will improve our defense. Spellman I hear is a more polished offensively than Ochefu today and is a rebounding monster at 6'9" (but admittedly a step down from Daniel O); Painter 6'11"; RS frosh Delaney 6'8"; Paschall 6'7" with huge hops; DiVencenzo 6'4" with huge hops. Add in Jenkins 6'6", Hart 6'5" and Reynolds 6'8" and we'll have length and athleticism we've not seen, maybe ever at Nova. Arch is becoming a legend in Nova lore but the one thing he ain't is a top level athlete. I think Brunson takes the reigns and doesn't look back. Hart may be our 2G next year. I suspect that our defense next year is going to be ridiculous. I think we will match up with X and SHU much better (than we even did this year) with the athletes we have coming in. If they can put the ball in the basket somewhat regularly I'd expect a very good team.

Gumby-
I heard someone over the weekend compare Ochefu with Robert Parrish.... I thought really interesting comp. Had you heard that?

I think it'll be interesting to see if Hart and/or Jenkins looks pro. I mean Hart in KP right now is #5 overall. How much higher could his stock get? And Jenkins was named MOP of the regional...

I think nova has a chance to be even better next year. finally some depth up front although young.

can't replace arch's intangibles as many has pointed out but he was physically limited in what he could do.

I absolutely agree with Gumby. this may be the tallest and most athletic nova team we've seen.
