yeah- or maybe more accurate if they were invited to the combine.

these new rules are going to be brutal on coaches. I mean, for Xavier right now, they are really stuck in limbo. Do you go out and get replacements for Reynolds and Bluiett? Or not, and then if they stay in, you are left end of May with not many options out there.

There are some news crews on campus this morning, not entirely uncommon here recently since we've been announcing so many academic partnerships recently (with the Bucks for the athletic performance medical research center, with UWM for the freshwater science research, with the Medical College of Wisconsin for a new biomedical engineering program, etc), but there is some speculation that it might relate to Ellenson declaring. Would not be surprised but nothing definitive yet. I'll update if anything comes of it.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I'm pretty sure Blueitt actually leaving is not a big fear of Chris Mack right now. I think most coaches know which ones are staying and which ones are leaving anyways. Blueitt will be at Xavier next year

The thing is, there's always surprises. And was just using Xavier as an example. I mean look at PC. How does Cooley handle the Bentil situation? That's one that is truly a 50/50 type of situation.

Kind of old news, but its official now that Isaiah Whitehead will enter the NBA draft but will not sign with an agent.

whitehead i think is the most likely to go. I just can't imagine him not cracking the 1st rd when all is said and done. to me, he has more upside and talent than buddy hield.

I think Ellensen is just as likely- if not more. Guys projected in the top 5 just don't come back.

ellenson i thought was a foregone conclusion. he's as high as top 10 in some mock draft. not much to improve when you're already top 10.

The hoot here is that Calipari just had his entire UK team, including walk-ons, declare for the draft. Given the new rules, I have to wonder why even a marginally possible future NBA player would NOT declare immediately, just to learn what his draft stock might be in the future. What surprises me is that Sumner, Macura, Davis, and anyone else who got more than 4 mins. a game for ANY D-I school would not also declare right now.
