Villanova - Final Four

Not sure if anyone else noticed how annoying the memorials after every TV timeout, which seemed to come about every 25 seconds, during the OU-Nova game in Pearl Harbor was?

I thought it was extremely distracting just to watch, let alone play during. It was a kinda bizarre with all these 110-year old guys trying to stand up and get ovations... look, I know they are heroes and all and I'm not not supporting that, it was just a really distracting thing for a basketball game with very young players... anybody else think that was a factor in the game that won't be there? Also Isaiah Cousins went crazy from three, as well as Buddy, and when Nova got down big the game delays-distractions might be more annoying for the team in a hole.... not sure if that was ever discussed? Also, Nova will surely be outnumbered fan-wise in Houston, but they will still have a bigger crowd support than in that airplane hangar... just thinking outloud

yeah not only that- but the fact it's going to be in a dome, with the poor sight lines- means Oklahoma almost guaranteed won't shoot 14-26 from 3 point range. Meanwhile, Nova has no where to go but up on their shooting.

Credit to Stever for one thing:

His position was that Nova would have a run this year. If they cold get out of the first weekend they would be fast and loose and make the final four and perhaps win it all.

I have to admit- I was kind of sort of thinking the same thing....

The AAC board was pretty funny. A few folks actually pretty supportive. But then your clowns with their F Nova stuff. Including you know who....

I thought you were a Georgetown fan, why are you on an AAC board?

For everyone else, Obviously we know who to cheer for in the Villanova v Oklahoma game (and hopefully the title Game) GO NOVA!!!!!!!!! What about the other semifinal? Are you cheering for the old guard tobacco row ACC team, or the traitor? I think I will root for Syracuse just because I think Nova will have a better chance against them.

In 2009 Villanova played UNC in the Final 4 semi-final. My wife, who got her MBA from UNC, and a couple we are good friends with, both UNC grads, conspired to have both our families watch the game in the Dean Dome. There wasn't too many Villanova fans walking around Chapel Hill that afternoon nor at the Dean Dome game watch. The fact that Villanova got drilled made it even more painful.

After losing to NC State last year I would like nothing more than to beat UNC even though I think VU matches up with Syracuse better. I've seen Carolina play 3 times this season - they are scary good when they have their act together and they certainly have had their act together for the past three weeks. Got to get past Oklahoma first.
