Now obviously this season was great, but when push came to shove those 2 warts showed themselves when it counted. So I am expecting next year to be even better.

I think next year might have to be the year for you because I don't know if you can count on Sumner being in school in 2017-18.

Yea, he will probably be gone. But we have a player coming in next year (16-17) Quinten Goodin that is supposedly an absolute stud. Mack can be faulted for some things, but recruiting is not one of them.

Most coaches only play like 8 players in the rotation. Having two beyond that gives a margin of error for injuries.

With Jalen Reynolds out, look for O'Mara and Gaston to step up

Best Guess:

Starters:
PG - Edmund Sumner
SG - Myles Davis
SF - Trevon Bluiett
PF - Kaiser Gates
PF/C - Rashid Gaston

Bench: Macura, Q Goodin, http://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/ ... /81905376/ O'Mara, Tyrique Jones (rebounds)

O'Mara may start early on, since he's knows the system, but he's been a foul magnate like Jalen was.

BEX, I agree on your first 3 projected starters (Sumner, Davis, and Blueitt), but Gates and Gaston will face lots of competition. For starters, Mack might start Macura and continue with the 3 guard framework he used this year. Then you'd have Gates, Gaston, and OMeara competing for the 5th spot. One contribution I think James Farr made this year was to show his team mates that starting is not a huge deal in this program; Mack likes to play 8-10 deep if possible, and lots of players can get 20ish minutes per game.

I'm looking for Gates to take a huge jump. Could be our best defender with his quick feet and think he will pick up his scoring and rebounding. i think his biggest challenge was positioning this year, but seemed to solve that by the end of the year. Gates or O'Mara out there? Give me Kaiser, the 3 shooters and Gaston with JP off the bench.
