I am sorry about Xavier, I was obviously really rooting for you guys, and this isn't just directed at ChelseaFriar, but it is these constant posts that make me want to vomit for being in the Big East. This has nothing to do with Villanova being in the Sweet 16, I have been saying it ALL ALONG dealing with the "what can Villanova do for us this year?" mentality since no other teams are stepping up. Like it is Villanova's responsibility to do well in the tournament or else we have failed the whole league.

AS A WHOLE.....AS A WHOLE, the whole Big East still has to step up. It still hasn't happened. But enough with the F'ing Villanova NEEDS to win, or Xavier NEEDS to win nonsense, because if they don't it makes as all look bad. Worry about your own F'ing teams stepping up and helping. So far it hasn't happened and Villanova is just as guilty, but putting the pressure of the World on ONE team to do well to redeem the WHOLE entire league is F'ing bush league. I AM SICK OF IT.

I can see right through you. What a poorly veiled shot at the B.E. ACC took half the S16 field and the rest of the power conferences each got 1 or 2. Go ahead and post on the SEC and PAC-12 boards about their single representatives in the S16, or the B1G with a whopping 2. Go away.

That's not the point.

The Power 5 football schools are major conferences. That will never change. During the season, the Big East is better than the SEC this year and similar to the Big Ten and Pac-12. But when the lights are on, the league has 2 Sweet 16 appearances in 3 years, and nothing else to show for it (with Nova still alive). That's what people care about.

The Big East has to force its way into the major conference conversation. Other leagues are already there. And the league hasn't done enough in March. Hopefully, Villanova can change that this year.

Ask fans of Power 5 football schools what they think of the Big East.

ChelseaFriar. I get your point. It is definitely bush league mentality. The Power-5 have forced an identity crisis upon us and now we have internalized it and behave like mid major conference fans rooting for one team to do it all. This wasn't how the Big East was pre-2013. No one had to prove anything to anyone because everyone knew the Big East was big time. Now that ESPN and everyone else wants to suck the life out of this league we have become a lot more self-conscious fans and perhaps it has reached the players and the coaches. The psychological aspect of this does wonders on the field and I wouldn't be surprise if our Big East players are starting to feel that they are not as good as Power-5 players and are only bound to fail.

Dude, relax. My begging Nova to make the Final Four was basically a joke after watching the rest of the conference, including my Friars, go up in flames. We all crapped the bed other than Nova. Nobody is denying that. Christ are you sensitive for a fan of a team heading to the Sweet 16.

The league already failed this March. I want Villanova to do well for Villanova. It will also give me a team to pull for.

And as a PC fan, I have never bashed a team for lack of March success. We just got our first NCAA win in 19 years, so yeah, I'm not going there...

on sumner charge, they didn't even spread the floor to give sumner more room to operate. in fact, i think they had 3 guys on the same side.

xavier's execution on both sides was poor down the stretch.
