Good game, SH wins a nail biter. Pirates should be a 5 seed and be a serious threat to make a deep run. Nova entirely too sloppy and unfocused, lots of bad turnovers in the 1st half and poor rebounding throughout the game. Still had every opportunity to win it at the end though, well time to lick our wounds and gear up for run in the tourney.

Refs were bad both ways, they could've/should've called Jenkins on a push off, but then again they could've/should've called that hack on Hart's follow-up with under 5 seconds to go.

Great summary. It was a great tournament game to watch and good for the Big East. Actually, may be nice where SH moves up 2-3 slots and Vill hangs on to a #1. More chances to make a deep run for the Big East.

Congrats to the Hall.

The conference season as a whole was really fun and competitive. Nova and Xavier were the cream of the crop, but teams 3-8 were so evenly matched that it made for compelling basketball. Then to see Seton Hall play to their potential to wrap up the season was quite a sight.

Amazing game. Both teams hit a ton of clutch shots. TV atmosphere was insane. As good as any Big East final i remember. Comparable to the Walter Berry block game in excitement. A+++

What a game! Thank you, Seton Hall and Villanova teams and fans for putting on excellent show. I hope folks who miss Gus Johnson on CBS for the NCAA Tournament that don't watch FS1 got a great taste in what they are missing in our league. Wasn't it about three times were his voice cracked.

Balance all that out with Providence and Butler making it, and we'll have put together another strong pre-NCAA Tournament results resume.

One more thing: I can't imagine ANYONE concluding that the Big East Tournament in MSG is in trouble. What attendance numbers!

Congrats to Seton Hall for the win!! All five teams in the tournament are good enough to go very deep. (Remember Butler is the only team to beat SH lately) I think we have three teams with FF potential. I hate to just limit it to three teams after what happened with UCONN a few years back. In any case, we have great teams representing the conference this year!!

Congrats Halp. Refs gave you every break in the final minute but you're a hell of a team.

Yeah, every break, like ignoring that Jenkins pushoff before his go-ahead 3? Blaming the refs is weak.

Sorry but if the referees make a routine foul call on a clear foul, Villanova probably wins. So I'm not going to ignore their role in the game. Villanova shouldn't have let it come down to that, but the no-call was a game changer.

That said, this was a perfect game for Villanova to play before the dance. Had to scratch and claw their way back against a very talented and very good team, and they fell just short. I bet everyone in that locker room feels that's a game they should have won had they not made mistakes down the stretch, and had they gotten that call. So they'll be motivated and focused entering next week. Hopefully the way this game ended will give them an edge.

Full credit to Seton Hall though. They're a very good team. They clearly don't like us since they talk more before the game than most teams (like Gordon saying he doesn't like us because we didn't offer him).

Hall shot better from deep than they usually do. That's the biggest question I have about them - can they make outside shots when they have to? Especially Whitehead. Guy is a beast when he takes it to the hole. Every time Seton Hall settled for a long jumper, I viewed the possession as a win, and Whitehead loves the stepback long 2. Other than poor outside shooting, I really don't see a weakness other than depth.
