good start today for Creighton fans- Hampton and Stony Brook both won. UALR up 10 at halftime.

Heck, this trend continues today- Marquette may not be done yet. It would be already really close for Marquette though. Maybe LSU scoring only 38 points today(fewest in a d1 game all year long- worse than 40 by BC)- kills their chances for the NIT already.....

A GREAT day for Creighton fans so far... I'd go so far now quite frankly to call it a lock for them for the NIT. Heck, if the remaining 4 games go right, Marquette may have a real shot as well..... Having the Butler guy on the committee could be HUGE for them.....

By my count, here are the games that matter:

Arkansas-LR - wins, plays for championship tomorrow
New Mexico State - currently playing
Weber St. - wins
Akron - loses
Winner of Temple/Uconn to take down pesky Memphis and Tulsa in the AAC ship - root for UCONN tomorrow
Hawaii - playing tonight
SFA - wins
Hampton - wins
San Diego State - loses

So that makes for 2 spots so far taken.

Yeah even though San Diego St will probably make the NCAA's- a team that would have gone to the NCAA would have gotten displaced down to the NIT.

right now got 3 games left- Marquette fans need to root for....
New Mexico St
Hawaii
UConn(I know, it's hard)

Like I said- how putrid LSU looked may help Marquette as well.....

NM State loses but Hawaii wins. Only other bid stealers are ARK Little Rock and Memphis tomorrow.

final NIT projection:
http://bracketmatrix.com/nit.html

Creighton a 5 seed there... which would stink given that would be a road game 1st round.....

Jet- saw on the NIT wiki page that they're going to be experimenting with 6 fouls instead of 5 to foul out... hadn't seen that at all......
