When Xavier was listed as a 2 seed I was saying these 7s look harder than the 6 seeds. Now the 6's look much harder than the 7's

how many teams around now are big Cincy fans- not just bubble teams but good teams as well......

Did you even watch the game? That was NOT a good display of basketball. It was as if neither team wanted to win with how poorly each was playing.

maybe early in the OT. The game play transformed as the OT's went on. UConn scored 29 points the last 2 overtimes.

If good teams are worried about UCONN they are not that good.

Palm updated his bracketology:
Butler 9 MW
Nova 1 S
PC 7 S(playing UConn)
Xavier 3 W
Seton Hall 6 E

The big thing will be with Nova can they keep Philly now? Palm indicating not. Lunardi has Nova as the 3rd 1 seed, but having UVA go South(Louisville) and keeping Nova east(Philly). I don't think that would be realistic.

I would be fine if that was the bracket. Xavier getting the 2 seed as Oregon and 1 as Virginia is fine by me. Just wish they were in the south region

I'm good with whoever X plays anywhere. I'll be there as usual. can't wait to get started after all the hullabaloo.

I had not fully appreciated Whitehead's skills until last night. Several incredible moments, mostly when X had been on a run and was threatening to get back into it. A truly great talent, surrounded by a very high-energy and pretty talented cast! Now I think that the Pirates, along with Nova and XU, are fully capable of getting to the sweet 16. Lunardi and Palm both moved X down to a 3 seed (no big deal since 2=3 in terms of difficulty this year), and Lunardi moved Seton Hall up to the 6 line. 3 Sweet 16s would be VERY sweet!

I don't know if I would say that it's no big deal between a 2 and 3 seed. A 2 seed would get a team like a Kentucky, Utah, Miami in the regional SF. A 3 seed would get a Oregon, Oklahoma, Michigan St, or West Virginia. I'd say there's a decent bit of difference there... There's 9 teams that have separated- you go back and look at the poll this week. WVU was 9 at 1113 votes. Indiana was 10 with 1038 votes. Miami 11 with 935 votes. You don't want to be that 9th team.
