Looks like a real nice pickup. Congrats to the Hall.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Congrats Hall. Don't often see a player deciding between Maryland, SHU, James Madison & Delaware.

Hope he becomes another BE stud.

Cale had an offer from Xavier as well. Very nice pick-up by Seton Hall.

Important get for the Hall. They should do well the next couple years with the current sophomore class, but the recruiting focus right now should be on how to keep the program moving forward when they graduate, and Cale's a good first step. Assuming only Whitehead leaves early, he'll get to play with the rest of them for a year and then get thrown into the fire.

Can we stop with the SJU/Nova fan showdown? As a very realistic SJU fan, we cannot even be mentioned in the same sentence as Nova at the moment. We have not won a tourney game in nearly 2 decades. Hell, if we even make the tourney at all it feels like a huge accomplishment. If we are even near let alone in the top 25 (even if just for 2 weeks), it's a huge accomplishment at this point in our history. Nova is ranked in the top 15 basically every year no matter who the players are. They have the best coaching in the conference and their players stay 4 years and develop them to the best of the abilities. By the time they are Seniors they are beasts seemingly always. Player development is phenomenal. Yes, Nova has been very underwhelming to say the least in the tourney, but let's be real they have been carrying our conference. Without them we would be considered the A-10. Even G'Town now has fallen off (and I really hope they fire JTIII and get back where they were). The only real consistent national powerhouse has been them in our conference. So let's not throw stones living in glass houses.

Now, on the other end, while we have been awful for much of my life (I'm 26), credit is still due in recent years. This program was in the top 15 in 2011 and 2014 at some point. Needless to say it was forgotten quickly because of our tournament failure. But Lavin elevated the program and we actually recruit well. At some point we are due to finally click and get going. Lavin got us out of our long hibernation, now I expect Mullin to lead us to consistent contention i.e. making tourney consistently, getting good recruits, etc. So yes, while no SJU fan should even attempt to talk down to Nova, we have had some success in recent years from Lavin on.

Nova is to the Big East what UConn is to the AAC. Take them out and more and more people would call the league a mid major conference.
