Arguing with ball is akin to arguing with a 1st grader...or Trump. Bridges was a spot situational bench player. Nobody in their right mind, including Villanova fans, would ever list him as the best freshman or one of the best even. That said, he will be real good as a junior and senior.

He's real good now. And 20 mpg is not a "spot situational bench player".

Bridges has been good in the way Kaiser Gates has been good. Very solid, promising freshman, but neither are even the best freshman on their own team let alone the conference.

I'm shocked Macura didn't get the sportsmanship award, thought he was a lock.

Bridges hit a bit of a wall in late February. Around early to mid-February he was right up there with Sumner and Ellenson in the freshman of the year race (to anyone paying attention anyway). He was well ahead of Brunson as well.

Brunson really emerged down the stretch though.

And again, ONLY ONE POSTER is/has claimed that, Novaball, and he is straight up trolling with that. I think the point us rational Nova fans are making is don't sleep on Bridges. He's had a year VERY similar to Josh Hart's freshman year and while Brunson is the better player this year, I'm fully expecting that Bridges will be the better player by the time they've left, if not by as early as the end of next year. While Gates is an intriguing player I haven't seen enough of him to compare him to Bridges just quite yet.

No, Bridges was never close. And yes we know he will be a great player. No one is sleeping on the guy, just saying he wasn't close to top freshmen in the conference.

Bridges wasn't up there with those two but in your/his defense he's just not going to have the chance to be up there with those too because he doesn't have to play a big role on Nova.
