So do folks think the new rules worked?

These were the goal of the rule changes. Can't say the changes didn't work.

I wonder how much of it was just because of the shot clock going to 30. The fouls seemed to be called correctly and consistently at the beginning of the year, but the last two months the refs seem to pick and choose when to enforce the new rules.

Refs are also being judged for tournament spots based on their enforcement of the rules, so maybe they're over compensating as the tournament approaches.
