not just with the BE results but stuff like Alabama losing as well.... Not a good night, but a GREAT night for the BE.

seriously I think Creighton is in trouble. They have to either beat Xavier or probably Seton Hall to go to the NIT. Tough ask there. Creighton fans, would they take a CBI spot? A Vegas 16 spot? I would think they would want the extra practice with this young team.

They have in the past under this coach, though their situation has obviously changed.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

what about your Marquette? I know you guys turned them down 2 years ago. Would Wojo take it to get some experience for the younger guys?

If we dont make the NIT, not really interested in the CBI. Vegas 16 sounds intriguing, its the first time they are doing it so its had to say what kind of teams they can attract. If they can get mostly power schools, I wouldnt mind if we played in it. Its also on cbs sports network so there is some coverage. Plus, Vegas is 4 hours from my house so.....

I think it's stupid and arrogant when teams turn down invites to lesser postseason tournaments.

1. Stupid: You are turning down the opportunity to get your younger guys some postseason experience. You also get extra practices for your team.

2. Arrogant: If you are actually "too good" for the tournament, you wouldn't freakin' qualify for it.

I believe that the schools have to pay to play in these lesser tournaments. So if you have lots of injuries like we do I am not sure it is a good use of funds.

Not to mention renting out an NBA sized arena to have 6-8k people show up for South Dakota State or something......

I know the first time walk-on Alex Barlow played more than mop up minutes, much less started was in a CBI game at Penn then again against Pittsburgh.

He then went on to start the next few years on multiple NCAA teams. So, that's one anecdotal evidence of those lesser tournaments becoming more meaningful for the future than would be assumed.

Playing is always better for development than not playing. And the cost is nominal.
