But look at the Big 12. A bit stronger- but still the 10 team round robin. Right now, they are 27-13 at home in conference play. With some huge upsets by teams at home- something we've not seen in the big east.

Looking, only 3 conferences in the last 14 years have seen home teams sub .500 in conference play....
Big West 2006 26-30
NEC 2008 45-54
MEAC 2012 49-55

As you see as well- no even close to multi-bid conferences, let alone power conferences.

Interesting from Ken Pom.......

Was talking about upsets of the week from a few weeks ago...
3) #50 Providence 82, #1 Villanova 76 (OT) [76 possessions] (9%), Sunday. Home teams in Big East play are 18-22 so far this season, the second-worst mark among conferences at this moment. (CAA teams are 20-25.) But it’s part of nationwide epidemic of teams being unable to protect their houses. Home teams are winning just 58.6% of their games in conference play so far, which is lower than last season’s epoch-low 59.8%. It’s still difficult to win on the road, but it’s easier than it’s ever been. And Providence is one of the best examples of that, having won all three of its Big East road games, but struggling to a 2-3 home record.

Sounds like the home court trend isn't just with the Big East(just a bit more pronounced with the Big East.)

Maybe it's changing though. Home teams went 5-0 this week so far.... 24-26 now for the season....

Thank god, the C-7 left to form a new league.

Holy smokes Batman, I seriously thought it was a pic of a pre-game warm up. It was at the 15:13 mark. The game started at 8:00 pm ET and Louisiana is an hour behind. Like Yogi would say "they don't have to come if they don't want". Any takers on joining the AAC?

well home teams now have gone from 19-26 at the half way mark to 29-29 now. 10-3 last 13 games. Games like last night what Creighton did to Xavier make so much sense- but haven't seen a ton of that this year.

It's interesting that note from Ken Pom a few weeks ago how at that point home teams across the nation were winning only 58.6% of their conference home games and just how low that was.

so home teams now 42-39. 2nd half of the season a much more normal 23-13(if not actually a bit above normal). Just was really unusual early in the conference season how much home teams struggled. Normally I would have thought that the home teams would be stronger early, and then as the season rolls along, there are more road upsets.

Adonys Henriquez plays at UCF. Some of you might remember that name.

He had a really good offer list:
1. Alabama
2. Butler
3. Clemson
4. Connecticut
5. Creighton
6. DePaul
7. Florida
8. Florida State
9. Georgetown
10. Georgia Southern
11. Miami (FL)
12. Minnesota
13. Mississippi
14. Mississippi State
15. Murray State
16. South Florida
17. St. Joseph's
18. Tennessee
19. USC
20. Vanderbilt
21. Virginia Tech

...And he chose UCF. What a dummy.

Although, I have heard their coed population is spectacular. He must've wanted to chase around girls.
