Dayton's a top 15 team.

Dear Bill, please answer honestly, where did you go to school?

Bubble breakdown - Jeff Eisenberg, The Dagger - February 17, 2016

TUESDAY'S BUBBLE WINNERS

Butler (18-8, 7-7):
Butler's quest to recover from a 3-6 start to Big East play got a boost on Tuesday when the Bulldogs avoided a sweep at the hands of a fellow bubble team. Kelan Martin and Austin Etherington both hit four threes apiece to lead Butler to an 88-75 victory over Creighton. The Bulldogs remain right on track to finish around the NCAA tournament cutline. They have quality wins over Big Ten power Purdue and fellow bubble teams Creighton, Cincinnati and Seton Hall and they only have one bad loss at streaky Marquette. Butler has a huge opportunity at first-place Villanova this weekend and then games remaining against Georgetown, Seton Hall, and Marquette. The Bulldogs probably need to win at least two of those to have a realistic shot at an NCAA tournament bid.

RPI Forecast – BUTLER - through games of Feb. 15, 2016 (5 games remaining. Predicted: 4-1)

Date • Opponent (Opponent’s Forecast Final RPI Ranking) • Location • Predicted W/L Predicted Point Spread

2-16 • Creighton (75.2) • Home • W 6.2
2-20 • Villanova (3.3) • Away • L -9.1
2-27 • Georgetown (76.0) • Away • W 1.1
3-2 • Seton Hall (54.2) • Home • W 6.0
3-5 • Marquette (125.4) • Home • W 11.6

I hear they're looking more at bpi, and Kenpom. Those two like Butler, and Seton Hall, but don't like PC at all.

Does anyone really use the BPI? It's supposed to be quantitative, so does Vegas use it to predict winners? Does it provide any kind of insight that other ranking systems don't?
