I noticed that on my other screen. What happened?

Lol, I noticed that too......maybe it was Macura's last minute slam down?

Not really surprised by this. They played so badly against us, you knew they were going to be fired up. Butler didn't play well and X played like they were mad. Sorry Butler!

Macura made a great defensive play and had a wide open highway to the basket. I'd say get over it, and consider playing with passion so that you don't get slapped like that on your home court with Xavier fans becoming audible on TV towards the end of the game.

Perhaps it's his frustration with Butler's recent record against X.

Personally I'm like you, if you want them to not do that, then win the game. And that's Macura. You love him if he's on your team, you want to pummel him if he's not.

Xavier has more talent than Butler, top to bottom. Butler's going from the Horizon League to the Big East in 2 years, coupled with Stevens leaving in July before the initial Big East season and then Miller being MIA has significantly set them back on the recruiting trail, as they essentially have 2 good Big East players (Martin, Chrabascz) and 1 role player in Wideman in the last 3 classes.

The 2016 class is a good start, but if Butler wants to start winning games against the upper echelon talent teams, they must consistently recruit well. They're 3-21 in league games against Villanova, Providence, Georgetown and Xavier since joining the Big East.

Completely agree with the bolded statement. I would be pulling my hair out about him if I were on the opposing side. And Xavier had the very last possession of the game and held it until the clock expired, for what that's worth.

But here's my primary reason for responding, keeping in mind that I'm a XAVIER fan and that I love the Cintas Center: that was a BIG TIME environment in there today. Hinkle looked fabulous on television and the crowd was insane. Both our programs were invited to this conference because of what was brought today - - forget the final score for a moment.

Butler has had to fight its way from a transition from the Horizon to the A10 to the Big East. That is no easy road to travel. And you're absolutely right to note that Brad's timing was brutal. But I have to believe Butler will be just fine in the long run.

Butler was still playing the game, so Xavier was too. Lewis wanted the leading pass to try to get a score with 15 seconds to go, and it didn't work out for him. That's basketball. When Macura got the ball off the rebound on the next possession with a few seconds to go, he dribbled it out rather than putting up a shot because then the game was over.

Creighton playing well in a game I'd call a must win, up 15-5.

My johnnies playing tough, all I can ask for
