just saw Lunardi say in the bracket that's coming out tomorrow- Nova will be the #2 overall seed, behind only Oklahoma. With that gets to say in the East and play at home.... That's what Nova is playing for next 5 weeks......

Villanova playing in the East would be great for them. Nova/Xavier/Prov are THE teams. (Hoping I could still say the same about Butler). Nova limited its games in Wells Fargo to three this year to be able to play in Philly if they get the far. That would be awesome. Imagine the atmosphere in such a potential game. Can't wait till March!!!

Also in light of the BE seemingly not at all interested in expanding- do any of you see Dayton as a desirable future OOC opponent?

Have yet to see Dayton play this year. But man, how on earth did they lose to La Salle?

Tell me about it… We don’t historically do well going into these small gyms with 1500 fans. In this case though we were out coached in my opinion. LaSalle brought this slow-down the game pace & literally bled the clock each possession and made their shot with 2 ticks on the possession clock (painful to watch). Our only league loss, their only league win.

In his January 18th bracket, Joe Lunardi had Seton Hall in his last 4 in. Since then, they've gone 4-2 in the Big East with the losses coming to Nova by 1 and @ X. Today, while riding a 4 game winning streak, they're still in the last 4 in. Is the Big East really that weak outside of the top 3 that rattling off 4 straight conference wins means basically nothing?

Jerry Palm at CBS has SH in as an 8. He has 5 BE teams in with Butler as a 10. Seems about right.

The wins though-
St John's, Creighton, Marquette- none of them in the top 100, and Georgetown, struggling big time....

Lunardi-
Nova 1 E
Xavier 2 S
Butler 12 S FF
Providence 6 W
Seton Hall 12 MW FF

Georgetown 7th team out

Palm-
Xavier 1 MW
Providence 6 S(playing FF winner)
Seton Hall 8 W
Butler 10 W
Nova 2 E

USA Today-
Nova 1 E
Seton Hall 11 MW
Providence 7 MW
Xavier 2 S

To me, Butler needs to split this week to start to feel good about a spot- let alone a 10 seed.

Providence really needs to get going again. This is a HUGE week for them maintaining their seeding even as is- @ Marquette, Georgetown. 0-2 week and they could be looking more and more at a 8/9 seed...

Really interesting the difference between Lunardi and Palm in the top 2 teams. Lunardi has Nova as the #2 team overall.... Palm not even in the top 4. Also, and have said this before. If Nova isn't a 1 seed, I don't think they're allowed by rule to play in the East. They don't put 1 seeds at a home disadvantage like that.

I thought Murph loved the small gyms? Maybe we can get Megyn Kelly to do a game for him? :o
