Chelsea Friar posted a good article from their January 1996 game, postponed due to snow, where Ray Allen really took over the race by out playing Kittles. Kind of similar to this Saturday's game. Josh Hart to lead Nova to a double digit victory on FOX while Kris Dunn sits on the bench with 4 fouls to go along with his 6 turnovers, and the tides will have officially shifted in favor of Hart for POY.

Kittles vs Allen is not really similar when you look at the numbers. Allen scored 23.4 ppg while Kittles scored 20.4. He was also more efficient. All the other numbers are very similar.
Dunn vs Hart isn't like that at all. Dunn scores more, has way more assists, and more steals. Hart leads rebounds by 1 per game. Is Hart more efficient? Absolutely. But he's not forced to do as much on offense. Thanks to http://www.Hoop-Math.com Hart is assisted on about 90% of his threes and 50% of his shots at the rim. Dunn is at 50% and 30%. And Dunn has actually been a better three-point shooter. Does Dunn turn the ball over a little more than I would like from a PG? Yes but in comparison to Hart, that's not exactly fair. Hart has just 1.3 TOs per game, but only 1.6 assists per game. For someone who scores less and has 5 fewer assists per game, you would hope they didn't turn the ball over as much.
If Dunn is sitting on the bench it will be because he was guarding Villanova's most important offensive player and greatest actor, Ryan Arcidiacono. And just to make Jada Pinkett Smith more upset, his performance will get a last minute Oscar nomination.

The general workings of this site for 3 years have been to discuss Big East news, games, rosters, strategies, ratings, recruiting, really great stuff... how to improve the BE... stuff like that. It's recently been devolving into flame war threads of useless boring instigating and baiting and stuff like "you suck, no you suck, no you suck, no you all suck..." Zzzzzz.
I think the final straw leading to joining The Index was the thread on the Providence board. That site has a bunch of whackadoodles, but they actually look sane in that thread.
I have no problem and think the Josh Hart/ Kris Dunn discussion is entertaining. The pattern though of constant bickering is a waste of time and football fan style, and maybe that stuff can move to the csnbbs site.

billyjack, can you post the link to the thread on the Providence board? Contrary to popular belief, although I visit other Big East team's message boards, I do not post on them. I am just curious to see what our ol' pal ball was saying on there. I know, I know, if I was a fan of another team, his nonsense would probably make me want to kill myself. I get that. I just find him entertaining.
What does being placed on "The Index" mean anyway?
