Just got a text that Richard Freudenberg will be a Johnnie. Good get. Mullin is continuing to bring in some very good players. You guys are looking to be in VERY good shape for the future. Congrats!

Thanks, though Zach Braziller from the New York Post who is our beat writer says he just spoke to Freudenberg and that a decision is likely a few weeks away and that it looks good for us.

DAMMIT! Is that where my friend is getting all this "inside" info? I follow Braziller on twitter, I probably could get the same "inside" info myself! Ha! Anyway, just stuff I heard that I wanted to share. My friend made it seem like it was a done deal. I think it is, all signs point to Freudenberg being a Johnnie.

Yeah, to me if Brazziller says it than its true and if he doesn't it's not true. I think this kid will announce he's coming to Queens soon enough though.

Thanks for the news, I hadn't heard that yet. We still need a few more pieces, but at least it's heading in the right direction.

As close to a "let's hug it out moment" as I've seen on HLOH. Kudos to you both.

At the end of the day the bickering gets old for the others on this board that don't have a dog in the fight. My only suggestion and it is an easy one, is if there are 2-3 "bad apples" that you don't care for on this site, simply ignore them (as in hit the ignore button so you won't see their posts). It's actually really easy to do. It keeps free speech free and keeps you from getting pulled into what that person wants to pull you into. I know I am guilty of getting heated when I feel my team, coach, school, etc. is being insulted (like: "Nova has been an embarrassment to the league.")

Looking forward to Nova - SJU at MSG. I'll be sitting courtside--with full food and drink options--compliments of my Starwood Rewards points. MSG is a special place. My hope is that the games there return to packed houses and games decided in the last couple of possessions.
Go Nova!

No shame in hugging it out! I just realized how silly the whole thing had become. Why would I become so angry with somebody on a message board for saying something about my team, when I am doing exactly the same thing right back to them. I love St. John's because I am from New York and because of them I can see a Big East college hoops game live all the time. Not to mention my Aunt and Uncle went to school there, as well as a bunch of my buddies. I wouldn't say the stuff I was saying to them, so I am not going to pound my chest and do it to other St. John's fans on a message board just because I don't know who they are. Granted this is a message board, I don't like being involved in those types of situations, so I will avoid them going forward.

Also, I don't want to be the reason why other Big East fans hate Villanova. I know certain posters have that effect on people, and I don't want to be that guy.

Anyway, here is a nice video preview of the PC vs. Villanova game that surprisingly ESPN did that I found on a Villanova blog. Thought I'd share it for those interested.

By the way, I know people keep on talking about Kris Dunn and Josh Hart, but I am more excited for the Ben Bentil and Daniel Ochefu matchup. That should be VERY entertaining. Darryl Reynolds provides Villanova some very valuable minutes off the bench, he doesn't do anything flashy, grabs rebounds, he will have nice dunk here and there, but he is definitely a backup player in the Big East. If PC gets Ochefu in foul trouble like Seton Hall did, Villanova could be in for a very long day.

I like watching Reynolds play myself. Not the most talented guy, but he seems to give 100% whenever he's on the floor. I'm sure he'll be asked to contribute some valuable minutes come tournament time. When Reynolds was at Lower Merion he played against my nephew in a high school game. Reynolds swatted one of his shots that must have landed halfway up the bleachers. We still laugh about it whenever we get together.

Is the Providence @ Villanova game still on FOX despite the re-scheduling to Sunday?

Point guard Tyler Lewis did not accompany Butler’s team to Omaha, Neb., after enduring a concussion Thursday in practice. Reserve guard Steven Bennett did not travel because of illness.
