I think part of it is that it's a weak freshman class to begin with, and a lot of the top frosh have underachieved this year.

ESPN bias. They want all our good players to get drafted so the Big East isn't a good league next year and they can go back to ignoring us.

Just as long as Josh Hart stays off that list I will be happy. Very selfish of me I know, but Villanova really needs him back next year with the loss of Arcidiacono. We will have a good group of guards returning with Phil Booth, Donte DiVincenzo, and Jalen Brunson, but if we lost Hart it is really going to hurt.

The thing is though, when a Villanova player is going to be drafted, for the most part, Jay Wright tells them to go. It helps with recruiting and Jay doesn't want them to miss out if God forbid they got injured the next year or for whatever reason their stock drops.

Again though, hoping Josh will be back. He could very well play himself into a draft pick though.

I'm not too worried about it, he's a 2nd round pick at best right now. If he cleans up some parts of his game, improving his 3 pt. shot a little bit and work on his handle/drives to the hoop, after a senior year he can sneak into the late 1st round maybe.

Statistically, Henry has been extremely good. He's averaged nearly a double double this season (15.7 ppg, 9.5 rpg), stayed out of foul trouble and been solid from the free throw line. However, there are plenty of holes in his game - of which, going against NBA competition, will be exploited. For one, when in games where Marquette has trailed - which has been a lot this year unfortunately - he tends to try and take the game over by taking more and more outside shots (3PTs) - and ignore the offensive system in place. For someone that was heralded as a "Dirk Nowitzki", shooting just .254% from 3PT is really bad. Also, for a big guy, his FG% is pretty low for someone that should have a high number of his points near the basket - just .434 FG%. For comparison's sake, Luke Fisher makes .613% of his FG.

Unless there's a dramatic turnaround in the next two months, it would be in Henry's best interest to stay one for year to fine-tune his game. Financially, yes, he would best be served by leaving - but he will not get a lot of minutes next year, wherever he goes, because he's still growing into his body and developing as a big man. Basketball-wise, he needs more development and seasoning.

Just my two cents from watching every MU game this year. He is definitely one of the best prospects we've had in a long time - the potential is definitely there.

with the way the NBA goes now in days with the tanking, he would get a lot of minutes even next year in the NBA. That's something that's changed quite a bit here with the way teams tank now.

It would be great for him to stay- just not sure how realistic it is to think a guy projected in the top 5 would stay.

One point that we didn't discuss with Ellensen is the new rules that got passed.

Starting this year, a men’s basketball student-athlete must remove his name from the NBA draft list 10 days after the conclusion of the NBA draft combine. This past year, the combine was held May 13-17.
Also, students can enter the NBA draft multiple times without jeopardizing eligibility and may participate in the combine and one tryout per NBA team, per year.

The NBA will invite a select number of draft-eligible players to the combine, which will provide a good indicator of an underclassman’s draft potential. Following the combine, the NBA will provide specific feedback. Students can also work out for one NBA team to provide additional assessments.

A student invited to the combine will be allowed to work out with his college coaches from the time he receives his invitation until he withdraws from the draft. Workouts will be kept to the in-season limit of four hours a day for up to 20 hours per week.

And they were saying that Ellensen may even sneak up to #3.
