It is frustrating because teams like Seton Hall and Georgetown are tournament teams, at least they are good enough that they should be there, but the league this year is so tough that teams like SHU and G'Town who deserve to be in, might find themselves on the wrong side of the bubble. I am going to remain optimistic and say we get 6 in. The Big East did very, very well in our out-of-conference games this year so I am hoping that is taken into consideration come Selection Sunday.

It is going to be a war for the next month and a half in this league. I know in that poll about Villanova one of the options was Villanova would not lose any Big East games. I'd be shocked if that happened. Just too many good teams. The fact we have to play Providence next is not the most settling thought either.

Great effort by seton hall. Ugly final minute on both ends, but a great game overall

Hall is going to make the tourney.

Whitehead needs to stop shooting long shots off the bounce. That's not his game.

Haters gonna hate. Meanwhile nova is igniting change.

Not hating. I Like and root for Nova...But seriously. We need other teams to beat Nova. Hall needs to get into the Tourney!!!

Nova can probably lose 1-3 more games this year and still secure a #1 seed. Just look around and see all the upsets across the CBB landscape.

All good.

Nova didn't actually shoot that crazy from 3. Only made 10. They were smart and only took 19, so the percentage was good. But nova was jacking 30+ threes per game earlier this season.

Seton Hall still has 2 left with Xavier, Georgetown, and Butler. That's half their remaining games. Plus 1 with PC at home. Going to have to win all of the ones vs St John's, @ Creighton, Marquette, @ St John's, and @ DePaul- no lock there- and win at least 1 and most likely 2 of the other 7. I think the game a week from Saturday is HUGE (@ Creighton).

Seton Hall may be a tourney caliber team, but they need to bring this effort every game. That is their problem.

When Villanova's threes are falling like they were today, most opponents are gonna end up getting curb stomped, but SHU hung with them and had every opportunity to win. Unfortunately, moral victories mean nothing to the committee and the Hall may well regret blowing this opportunity on selection Sunday.

Villanova missed three of four free throws (Hart 1, Ochefu 2), and turned the ball over on the inbound play. Seton Hall had a chance to win bur lack of execution by Villanova had a lot to do with SH having that chance. Lots of poor execution by both teams to end the game. When the turnover happened under VU's basket I was sure SH would at least tie the game.

And Seton Hall (Whitehead) took two stupid shots instead of running the offense and also turned over an inbounds play. Yeah, Nova's miscues gave SHU extra chances, but SHU wouldn't have needed them if not for their own miscues. They had the ball in both tie game and down 2 situations in the last minute before a single free throw was missed, and didn't even try to run their offense either time.

Yeah they didn't take as many, but when a good team that barely averages 30% from 3 suddenly connects on over 50%, they're usually not gonna have a tough time in that game. And 10 is still a good number of makes, it's not like they were 2-3 for a good %. Especially impressive considering SHU entered the game leading the BE in 3pt% defense.

Young team. They will learn (or not, but I assume they will).
