In year 1 it was SHU who played the bid/seed spoiler
Last year it was DePaul
This year we have both Georgetown and Creighton dinging teams' seeds and bid status.

We need those teams that tank in OOC to continue to tank in the conference portion of the schedule! None of this blow up out of conference but then find yourselves in January and February.

You do understand if Georgetown now just wins out at home that we're in the tourney almost surely. That's wins over Creighton, Providence, St John's, Seton Hall, Xavier, and Butler. or if we lose to X- then need a road win- say @ Marquette.

Georgetown isn't even close to the same realm as those other teams....

I mean, thats the ideal scenario. But for selfish reasons, I actually prefer Georgetown etc. play like they did last night. Georgetown played like a top-10 team last night, the more X sees that the better prepared they will be for a legit final four run.

the 1 thing I'm worried about with the tourney- seems like the refs aren't calling it like they were back in Dec. Hopefully either it goes back to like it did in Dec OR the tourney is officiated looser. Could kill our teams if the games are reffed in the tourney like they were in Dec- while our teams are used to the more loosely called games.

This is BEast. Nobody is going to lay down for any team in conference. If a team does not want teams to be dinged for seeding or bid status. WIN your games. Nova has done a good job in doing this.

The problem comes when teams lay down for other teams out of conference... Loyola, Radford, Ashville, Incarnate Word, etc...

It's not Georgetown's fault that they beat X last night. They came to play last night. I am sure everyone here, especially the Georgetown fans, wish the Hoyas did better out of conference. That doesn't mean they should lie down against the top teams in the conference. What it means is the top teams better bring it every day. Georgetown and Creighton aren't dinging teams seeds, and bid status! The teams losing to them (Like XU last night) are doing that to themselves by not taking care of the them. Yesterday Georgetown outplayed my Muskies, and deserved to win. I don't like it, but I do accept it. All we can do is tip our hat to Georgetown for doing what they were supposed to do (try to win) and hope for a better result at their place.
