Awesome to see that. This is a huge year for our league and I cannot wait for it to start.

3 Connecticut

A10

10 St. Louis
8OUT St. Joseph's

Makes no sense to me. How is a conference with 7 teams bubble or better going to get no high seeds while a conference with 4 teams bubble or better going get 3 high seeds? They might be the 3 best teams, but seeding is on accomplishment and not quality. It should be very hard for a top heavy conference to land so many high seeds due to a limited number of top flight wins available in conference. On the flip side, if the Big East has 7 of 10 that close the only way a 6 seed is our top is with extreme balance, something like 7 conference losses wining the conference (keep in mind with 7 in play the OOC had to be very good for the Big East). I suppose he's just ranking teams, but it doesn't look like very reasonable seeding given the teams involved.

VCU fan here (still around from time to time)....and that bracketology is one of the worst I've ever seen. I love how ESPN's preseason rankings have us at No.12, but their bracketology has us as a 9 seed. Not sure how that works.

Likely two different people's opinions. The bracketology is what Lunardi thinks, while the rankings are another analyst's.

My take would be that it has everything to do with ESPN being biased towards their leagues while subtly putting down the new Big East and their "competition". Lunardi is usually nothing short of perfect when it comes to the end of the year bracketology but since he is an ESPN guy I will always take what they say with a grain of salt. Just my opinion and I could very well be wrong, but I believe there are one or two teams in this league that could be 3 or better.

The ACC has had years where Duke and UNC are high seeds, but the rest of the conference is crap, maybe a couple teams. In the future of the AAC I could see this being the case as well...UConn and/or maybe Memphis or Cinci looking hot after abusing the rest of the league and getting a high seed they may or may not deserve, also kinda like Gonzaga.

The ACC really is going to be like the old Big East, with Syracuse, Louisville, UNC, Duke all beating on each other with the addition by year of ND, Pitt, Miami, and others, all competing for top seeds.

He has the AAC with 3 in the top 12, though, not 2, and the numbers around indicate a strong AAC will not be as good as a down ACC.

A10 with 3. Well, Lunardi's a St. Joe's guy. Can that league become any more of a joke?

Valley trying hard to out-joke the A-10 with the addition of Loyola.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

You may not know the history, but I am 100% against the A-10. After a good year, they replace 3 good and one OK team with....1 OK team and George Mason. The ONLY good move that league has made was the addition of VCU. The only one.

You may not like your team being in the A10, but the conference had 5 NCAA teams this year. There will bee a step down this year, but it's far from a joke.
