ACC last night included:
Virginia Tech 93, Wake Forest 91.
Clemson 68, Duke 63.
Also, it's always good to see Mark Gottfried lose, especially at home, losing to FSU 85-78.
After those wins, the RPI of Va Tech is 123, and the RPI of Clemson is 113.
In March, the Wake loss to VT will look horrible.

VT is interesting. They are 11-6 right now. Just looking- projected to win 3 more games to finish 14-17. RPI at 14-17 for them projected is 142.3. But if they could win 1 more game- jumps to 126.5. 2 more games- 110.4. 3 games 94.8.

The thing is, I don't think the top teams in the ACC are all that good. So I could see VT getting those extra 2-3 games quite frankly to make the loss last night not bad for WF. Not saying VT will go to the tourney at all- but

(repost)

Michigan State getting pounded by #16 Iowa 67-48 in the 2nd half. If MSU loses we are talking about Xavier and Villanova moving to the #4 & #5 spots in the Polls. The Big East keeps climbing.

Northwestern loses at home to Penn State. That's gonna hurt.

Wisconsin beats Michigan State. Helps Marquette and Georgetown.

Georgetown doesn't need help in the form that other bubble schools need(I use bubble loosely right now for Georgetown). It's simple for Georgetown. Get to 18 wins regular season- so 18-13, they will be in the tourney. Otherwise they need to win the BET. Nothing other schools do really helps them much at all.

Virginia FALLS again.... this time to Florida State... If Nova played them @ home that would've been a W

Virginia has now lost 4 out of 5 away games...

The ACC is looking weaker and weaker as the days go by. No one looks above the rest of the pack... Perhaps UNC gets the nod? Not sure yet...

#1 Oklahoma went down at Iowa State last night. Could bump them out of the top 5 and help X/Nova if they win out this week. Syracuse beat Duke which helps St. John's (maybe the BE indirectly) and Georgetown (maybe indirectly MU since UW also beat Cuse). Anybody see the 50 point beatdown Purdue put on Rutgers? Yikes.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Georgetown is neutral with the Syracuse/Duke game as they played both of the teams. If anything hurt slightly as instead of 0.6 added both sides, 1.4 was added to both sides(and I'm assuming that Georgetown would be over .500 in the 50% pot).

Also, for Oklahoma- they won't right now at least get bumped below Villanova- head to head will hurt Nova there. So things would be Oklahoma/Nova/Xavier. Oklahoma needs to lose again for Nova and X to move up I think.
