Here is what is REALLY interesting about the polls this week. Outside the football P5 and BE there are exactly 2 teams ranked from other conferences. One, SMU is not eligible for postseason and the other, Gonzaga is ranked 23rd/25th.

Nova and Xavier both higher than I expected.

If Nova and Xavier can both cut through the rest of their schedule we could be looking at the first top 5 matchup in the new big east on February 23. That would be a pretty good milestone for year 3. Heck, I was impressed we have already had a few top 10 match ups.



Also, Butler is the only 4 loss team in the polls. Pretty nice respect there.

what is bizarre about the polls is UConn...
AP- UConn goes from #23 to not getting any votes...
Coaches- UConn goes from #24 to #26

kind of strange to have such a divergence like that.
