mutiny at Seton Hall?

"Do you agree that sometimes change is good?"
- Isaiah Whitehead's Instagram account within the past hour

Players only meeting yesterday, and this is what come of it?

I have been a pretty big supporter of Willard and the idea that he was in the right track all year. He lost the team last year, but I thought things would get on track this yr. looks like he is losing the team again.

That said, it wasn't willard who was playing extremely lazy basketball yesterday. That effort reminded me of the old Eddie Griffen team that quit on Amaker a decade ago.

Ouch. I hope the Hall train doesn't derail again. I was really hoping for the Hall to get into the NCAA. It would be nice if the NYC area has an NCAA-bound team from the Big East. Hoping they bounce back

Reminds me of the situation at Creighton in Dana's final years. Dana's most highly rated recruit was P'Allen Stinnet. A top 50 recruit. Was MVC freshman of the year. Super talent. But he was selfish and immature, constantly pushing the limits. But also a big personality, but not in a positive way. He tore the locker room apart. Cost us at least one very good young player who transferred after he and his parents had enough. Dana finally suspended him for the last half of his junior year, but the damage was done. Dana's program at CU was almost irreparable at that point. it was not that much of a surprise that Dana jumped when Nike U threw him a life line after that season. I know nothing about Whitehead, but what I do know is that sometimes there is no amount of talent that can overcome the negatives.

Some people talking about firing willard now in mid season and them bringing back PJ for the remainder of this yr and a few yrs
PJ has been giving coaching a try lately, he had the nets in the playoffs recently, he's only 66. He's probably out of touch with recruiting, but that team has a lot of talent in their younger classes, so he wouldn't need to be a recruiting hero off the bat. Looking more for an X's and O's guy who can get the team to play hard.

Then again maybe isaiah whitehead would turn into Latrell spreewell.

I have probably been the biggest supporter of willard outside a couple shu posters on this board.

But it appears the situation has played out. Kids have quit on him. Ship is sinking. Might as well throw the team a life raft at this point and see if they can salvage something.
