Ofcourse there is a bias. I been seeing this for the past couple of years. This is why we need more parity in the broadcasting of college basketball. We don't want it to become as bad as College Football where ESPN dominates.

I'm glad Fox, NBC, and CBS are all competing against ABC/Disney in the CBB landscape... otherwise, the fan would be hurt the most.

ESPN is all about SEC Football/ACC Basketball and occasionally mentions the B12, PAC12, and B10... The Big East is an afterthought

It always drove me nuts that the ESPN.COM scorebox doesn't list the FS1 games. I'm glad they got SI's Richard Deitsch involved, since networks are scared of him. Funny now, the games this week have the FS1 header.

The argument a few years back was: "The Big East is no longer a major conference and they are lucky to have more than 1 team ranked and that is why ESPN doesn't pay attention".

Now fast forward to this year, 4 ranked teams and not just ranked...3 in the top 10. In other words, you cannot be anymore relevant than we are right now. But still, they ignore us. That shows the clear bias because now we really do deserve as much attention as any other conference. But the blackout remains.

An ESPN.com developer saw the tweets and confirmed it was merely a data provider bug so it is all fixed now.

"We're going to make this conference a force," she said. Sure. You're going to turn the new Big East into a player? Really, commissioner? Well, last week's top 25 featured four Big East schools: Xavier (6), Butler (9), Providence (10) and Villanova (17). Marquette hasn't lost since Nov. 20. Seton Hall has won eight of its past nine, a stretch that includes a win over Wichita State. Right now, the Big East is the strongest conference in America. And Ackerman is probably sitting in her office listening to "How You Like Me Now?" by The Heavy or "Hi Hater" by Maino.

ESPN is going to have some bias innately, but you have to give a lot of their reporters credit for staying wholly unbiased.

ESPN obviously won't promote the Big East, which makes sense. I don't think their coverage about quality of teams or anything has been necessarily unfair though. When good things happen their writers seem to acknowledge it, and when a team or the conference struggles it should be criticized.

The place where the bias actually does seem to show up though is with the NFL. ESPN is so far in the bed with them, and I can't help but feel like the NFL has some sort of control on the narrative over there. Has anyone else noticed their coverage of the Will Smith 'Concussion' movie? Every take has been that the movie is unnecessary, what is the point, it is so embellished, the NFL has always been all about player safety and taking care of the retired players!
