The only difference between NCAA games and regular season games are the intensity. Almost all of this team played in the Sweet 16 or were on the bench for that experience. And Mack seems to have really reached a new level in his coaching. Until proven otherwise, I have zero doubts this team is capable of a final four run.

One other thing that's different is the amount of time in the commercials etc. I want to say it's an extra 30 seconds per tv timeout for instance. That could help the depth issues.

Looking at KP a thing that could be interesting. X's opponents take 41.4% of their shots as 3's(26th highest mark in the country right now). Just wonder if a team like a Nova who loves to shoot the 3's could exploit that.

My Alma Mater is very, very good. Exceptionally good. You don't get to 11-0 with an RPI of #1 on a whim.

But I worry about the team playing a close game. This sounds really snobby, but X hasn't been challenged really in any game this year. The only game where it was in single digits was the first game vs Miami. I don't know how they will react to a tight game, since they haven't had one yet. Honestly, I expect the BIG EAST to challenge this team, make this team stronger through adversity. I mean Hell, Nova on the road? Butler on the road? Seton Hall? You name it, this conference is a masterful gauntlet of teams who bring different types of play every night. This is why this conference is great. A team might get a top 10 ranking, but being on the road in this conference is always a trial.

Oh and X in the Final Four because of this conference.

that team was led by stainbroook. he was their go to guy and offense flowed thru him. when games become possession by possession you need that type of player. i see lot of potential in a number of players right now. if one of them steps up to become that player, then they will be truly special. can't wait to see them grow thru BE grind.

Maybe I am blinded by bias, but I think this team would already beat last year's team. Its early, but it honestly seems like every player has improved and some significantly so. Last year we leaned on Stainbrook, this year we can lean on: Sumner, Bluitt, Myles Davis, Macura, Reynolds or Farr. That is how many players we have averaging in double figures. Each has an alpha dog gene in them. I am your typical overreacting fan, but Mack really seems to of put together something special this year.
