The Big East is a year ahead of schedule. Next year the league as a whole will be even better, especially if Ellenson sticks around 1 more year. Maybe Kris Dunn is charting a new path for top college players, showing that with an extra college season players can work on their games in a low pressure atmosphere and improve their draft stock.

BC and Cuse not wanting to be in the AAC decide to drop FB to FBS and return to the Big East where they belong. UConn decides the same and comes home as well. Notre Dame being forever FB independent decides to rejoin their fellow catholic schools for all sports except FB.
Is it a realistic dream? Oh god no, but it's a dream none the less.

One helluva dream Fella. Replace ND w Duke and I'd be good with a 6-7 place annual finish, with a flash into the top5 every few years - would be one heck of a league. Wow.

The two teams taking a step back will be Butler (with the loses of Jones & Dunham) & Providence who will lose Dunn. Both however have the talent to compete unless Providence loses Bentil also.
DePaul will be DePaul

Going back to my previous post in this thread, PC was predicted to take a step back this season (lost Henton, Harris, Derosiers and Chukwu) and last season (lost Cotton and Fortune) as well. He made the NCAA last year and is currently ranked 14th in the country.
As a battered Friar fan I do agree with you. However, Cooley has proven all of the critics wrong each year. If everyone returns next season, PC will only have a question mark at one position. Unfortunately, that position will be PG. But I'll happily roll with Bentil and Bullock as juniors in the frontcourt.

PG is pretty darn important, MU's 2013-14 team was unbelievably experienced and talented in the front court and yet a crappy, unexperienced PG ruined us. And the "proven all of the critics wrong each year" sounds eerily familiar to something we used to say. But wish yall the best!
ChelseaFriar wrote:That's why I said "Unfortunately, that position will be PG". That position could derail PC next year but time will tell.
Did you have that feeling with MU regarding having to prove it each year? I didn't realize that.

I think you underestimate what ND in the conference brings the last 6 years of the conference I'd argue they were a better team than Creighton.
What would ND bring? they have one of the largest followings in all of college sports, plus with them they add a major historical rival to MU and Depaul (in a conference severly lacking rivalries). Duke is great but they have no significant history with any of the BE schools, don't get me wrong I'd love to have them, but realistically it doesn't make sense to throw out ND and bring in Duke of all the various throw out options in the conference.
