The national narrative has been so positive for the league this year. Now we just need some March success.

It's weird they didn't include Nova or even their hometown team, the Hoyas.

I think the big difference this year vs last year is haven't had the head scratchers. the PC losing to Brown. Creighton to North Texas. last year at times felt 1 step forward 2 steps back. also this year actually completing some of the big wins. Also having the Cincy/Xavier win in Dec rather than Feb helps.

Yeah because Georgetown against Radford wasn't a head scratcher at all. Beyond that I know what you're saying.

trying to remove that from my memory :) But even with that one, it was first game, so no momentum built up yet.
last year in December you had-
Butler losing to Tennessee
Xavier losing to Auburn
DePaul's Diamond Head debacle(them losing to UALR nothing close to that)
Providence losing to Brown and BC
Creighton losing to North Texas

They say right in the article that the leagues are more than Kansas and Villanova and these are the team's. I agree weird about the Hoyas though.

And Marquette losing to Omaha. But yeah I agree with your point 100% and it's actually why I thought the Big East was overrated last year, crucify me if yall want I don't care, and I don't think so this year.

The thing that is so funny about things is the perception is really so different from conference reality:
Ken pom- 59.4 vs 66.3 this year
RPI- 69.4 vs 80.5 this year
RPI Forecast- 70.1 vs 75.8 this year

the 1st numbers are conference numbers entering conference play last year.

now, I think the RPI number may improve a bit before conference play. BUT- there are some bombs, so maybe not so much.
