The Big East is a year ahead of schddule. Next year the league as a whole will be even better, especially if Ellenson sticks around 1 more year. Maybe Kris Dunn is charting a new path for top college players, showing that with an extra college season players can work on their games in a low pressure atmosphere and improve their draft stock.

While the Dunn thing would be nice- just do not think it's all that realistic. Not many kids as wired as Dunn is.

The thing about projecting next year- you just never know with transfers. You get a guy or two transfer unexpectedly and you are no where near what you expected.

On Twitter Lunardi just predicted we get six for what that's worth.

just looking at his seed list...
10 Xavier
11 Nova
17 Butler
18 Providence
32 Georgetown

Marquette 1st team out of tourney right now.

1 thing about Nova being only 11, they would almost certainly be sent out of the East then. Also Butler or PC could with those numbers have to see a PIG team in the 1st round.

Underrated in the 6 or 7 bid discussion is how much freaking money that equates to allocated across 10 teams if even a representative group of those 6 or 7 win some games (or many).

Reason 9454 on why there will be no more teams added to the conference. Everyone likes that denominator given the numerator is as strong as any conference in the country.

+1 for working "denominator" and "numerator" into a basketball forum post.

My dream? The B1G and SEC gut the ACC and the remnants of the ACC and Big XII join up but not all members. BC and Cuse not wanting to be in the AAC decide to drop FB to FBS and return to the Big East where they belong. UConn decides the same and comes home as well. Notre Dame being forever FB independent decides to rejoin their fellow catholic schools for all sports except FB.

Is it a realistic dream? Oh god no, but it's a dream none the less.
