Baylor in 2014 and Oklahoma last night hit everything they threw up from every spot on the floor.

Sometimes you have to just tip your cap to your opponent, and move on. Also, Oklahoma has a really great team and coach.
Or we can pore over every detail on Villanova for the next week and overreact like the owner of an English soccer team.

Except they really didn't. They were 14-26 from 3 point range. That's 54%. 8% better than normal for them. 28-60 for field shooting. 46.7%

compare to the Creighton Baylor game. Baylor was 30-47 for the game. 63.8%

I meant 3-point shooting from every spot or direction on the floor.
Oklahoma last night: 14/26 or 53.8%.
Baylor vs Creighton: 11/18 or 61.1%.
Creighton at Villanova: 21/35 or 60%. <--- Ethan Wragge game, thanks mpwalsh for the reminder.

Not saying the percentages necessarily lined up plus-minus 5 percentage point, just that at key points (when it was a 10 or 12 point game, somewhere around when Ochefu made a poor outlet pass) an Oklahoma guy would drain a couple of 3's easily, boom boom...

Hopefully Nova learns from this loss, and can go deep in the tourney. I really believe it was not Novas night, they will bounce back.

Good thing for stever that Nova got smacked last night, his trolling needed some new bait, guess he found it.

Perfect Stever. He knew exactly what you meant, but spends the time to distort the comment and come up with his own set of facts. I honestly feel bad for him; wondering who has that much time or interest to just spew misinformation to see a reaction. Assume he is a govt employee.

nova/Oklahoma-
1st 10 minutes of the game- Oklahoma was 9-16. 6-9 from 3 point range

Baylor/Creighton-
1st 10 minutes of the game- Baylor was 10-13. 5-5 from 3 point range. At one point 5 minutes 10 seconds to go in the game- they were 10/12.

Sorry- last nights game was really really good. But Baylor/Creighton was other worldly.

I think the game at Virginia in on 12/19 will give a better indication of how the season will go. Based on what I've seen of Virginia, which isn't much, I think VU matches up better with UVA than OU and it will be a good test fairly quickly, only LaSalle at VU in between, for Villanova to regain confidence and credibility against a worthy opponent.

Anyone ever been to a game at UVA? It is about a 3 hour drive from Raleigh so I am thinking of going up but the tickets aren't cheap unless you are well up in the 300 level.

Picked up a pair of tickets on Craig's List today so my daughter and I are going to the UVA-Villanova game. I really hope VU comes to play next Saturday. UVA put some tickets on sale last night but they were all single seats so I passed on those. They're all gone this morning too so the game is a sellout. UVA students are on break but ticket prices are still pretty steep, particularly anything in the lower level. A pair of tickets in Section 307 Row X cost me $160. We're going to do the UVA campus tour Friday then the game Saturday.

That Virginia game is an awesome opportunity for Nova to show the world that Oklahoma in Hawaii was a fluke. Win that and I think they're right back in the top 10.
