I was pissed my Jays lost tonight. But then I look at other BigEast scores and my mood lightens up a bit, I see Butler got a BIG win over Cincinnati, Marquette and Providence picked up cupcake W's and DePaul (To NovaBalls dismay) doused the Flames of UIC. I'll take 4-3.

Bummed Creighton couldn't pull the win but there are a lot of games still to be played and the Jays have a talented team

Bitter sweet night..

The butler games as huge. Big true road win against top 20 team. Huge in terms of increasing chances at quality seeding for our top teams and more ranked teams come January and February for this fox commercial promotions.

He seton hall and Creighton losses wee equally as huge in that the big east is not going to get 6 teams dancing this year.

As of today, there are 5 dancing teams. Georgetown needs to beat Syracuse though. I think Creighton and Seton Hall are out. Marquette still TBD but really need to win the rest of their non-conference games which other than @Wisconsin, is a pretty easy slate.

Creighton and seton hall are out as of now. they can play their way back in, but it will take either a perfect remainder of ooc play or will come at the expense of the quality of seeding for the current teams on the right side of things.

I know UIC sucks but its a road game and its Depaul....ive seen Depaul a few times already and they havent looked good at all.

Appreciate the continued hate on DePaul. Look, DePaul is not going to be an NCAA team this year, but to assume it will be the same DePaul as it has been in the past 7 years is very short sighted. The game which they looked the worst in this year was a win, the Norfolk State game. I hope that fans of big east teams don't look at DePaul as a guaranteed win, considering last year we started last year 3-0 with wins over MU, XU and CU and this board about lost their mind. But it is so easy to write DePaul off without looking at anything because of the past so many years. Undersell this team and you'll be surprised at some point

I don't think you need to worry about us Johnny fans looking at Depaul as a guaranteed win. Of course this season. we're really not looking at anyone as a guaranteed win.
