Georgetown is disappointing because they always seem to lose in the way most damaging to the league's brand equity, but they'll still be top 4 in the finish.

They can't hurt us any more than DePaul did last year after losing every game in the nonconference and then starting 5-0 (?) in league play.

If Georgetown finishes in the top half of the conference then they definitely would be responsible from preventing the mid pack/bubble teams from getting in tourney if they continue to "screw the pooch" in their OoC games. DePaul did not do that last year, they were more or less the gate keeper.

I thought Depaul knocked off a team from a power conference in the noncon last year....am I misremembering?

I'm guessing that was an intentional exaggeration. Yes, DePaul did beat Stanford last year. We still got 6 teams in the dance, even with DePaul's 5-0 start.
