Reynolds is an absolute BEAST on the boards. He almost did what ever he wanted to. X did not look great overall against Miami but Reynolds could be all conference. We will get better, Miami has given us tough games in the past, although not that often.

We looked better than we did in the exhibitions. Baby steps.

Quick observation from the Marquette game:

Any chance Wojo starts Carter instead of Johnson in the future? I know its one game but the offense flowed a lot better when Wilson was off the ball.

Wilson

Marquette really shouldn't be ashamed. Belmont isn't a bad team and everyone knows Marquette has a high ceiling. I would still put money on them making the tournwy. It was one freaking game lol

Sorry to drop the ball fellas. Hopefully, we can get wins against Iowa and LSU to lessen the blow...

Good news is that there's plenty of new talent this year. Bad news is that it's all young and inexperienced.

St John's played much different than last year. Less raw talent, but for the most part better shot selection and common sense They were looking to drive the lane most if the game. They had no crazy 18 foot jumpshots with 27 seconds still on the shot clock. The game was a halfcourt game for the most part. A ton of lead changes, but SJU held a slight lead most of the second half.

SJU had a tough stretch where they jacked up 3's on like 4-5 straight possessions, all misses, allowing Wagner to tie it at around 39-39. But they then got back to a more disciplined offense and regained their sea legs.

Mussini can get hot from 3, but he is pretty weak at PG at this point, but a tough assignment for a freshman. Mvouia, #24, was better at not making mistakes at the point. SJU has some talent though. Sima looked really really good, nice baby hook and a solid rebounder. There was a Pitt transfer that had some talent, might have been Durand Johnson. Christian Jones looked great at the 3 or 4.

Mullin looked really good on the bench. Low drama, good nature, no panic. Didnt scream at poor decision making, just settled the team down with a good attitude. Seemed to try to keep things simple at this point and was very patient. They're going to struggle this year, but the Johnnies are a very likeable team, with no one showboating or giving off a bad attitude.

No worries brother, each of us will have a slip up along the way this season. PC could easily have a brain fart tonight.

By the way, locally, URI lost EC Matthews for the season last night. Terrible luck, because the Rams were are a top A-10 team this year. Really blows for them. Matthews is a really good guy too, and outstanding player.

Which is good for Creighton's RPI because we play WIU in a couple of weeks. Although we also play Booby Hurley and Arizona St who lost to Sacramemto St.

Caught a little of the SJU game and all of the Nova game.

SJU. I like the big kid in the middle, SIma. Mountain. Nice touch. Give him time and he'll be a very good big man for the Jonnies. But they're going to struggle this year. They just don't have all of their bullets yet. Let's hope that Mullin just teaches them to play hard every game, every minute. Build that foundation and SJU will be back in a couple of years.

Nova. FDU is terrible and it was a 30 pt game at halftime so how much can you really take from it? But...Brunson is really, really solid. He just doesn't make any mistakes, doesn't look to be flashy, but simply makes the right pass at the right time and hits the open shot when given to him. I think he is a more quick/athletic version of Andre Miller. His court vision and understanding of how to play the game is off the charts. He looks like a 4 year starter on day 1. Otherwise, all starters scored in double figures, Ochefu was a beast (double-double in 20 minutes), Arch solid, they shared the ball well, and there seems to be many weapons on the team that can hurt you. The RS Frosh Bridges (Top 100 player out of HS), seems to be a player.
Go Nova!
