The report that leads this thread is correct - Butler/X/Creighton and Daayton/StL for 2014.

$1.5M to each of the departing 7.

Boston Friar - are you saying that you "know" that Dayton is in?

@bostonfriar how confident are you, any sources that's as you to this or just speculation from ESpN trying to jump the story?

Heard that there was a meeting at Creighton last night...can't confirm...the heads have been tight lipped about it. Hoping there was and it was about joining

BostonFriar has great credibility on the PC board, all his info comes through. I don't know his sources, but he has been in front of most of the major developments with the school and the C7 split/New Big East. When he speaks you can take it to the bank.

It's good to hear that BostonFriar has great crediblity. With the various sources printing "Creighton likely the 10th team" to be added.. .. Its creating a much deeper presumption that goes beyond "likely" in the hearts and minds of the Creighton faithful, myself included. Its hard to be calm and not over-joyed or over-confident, while at the same time I remain obsessively overly-observant to the boards for anything to confirm or refute.
If Creighton is NOT the 10th team in, I forsee a run on anti-depressants in Omaha from some of the posts.(Just kidding)... If not, hats off to the ones in, but what let-down that'd be at this point...

UD Earl here. Obviously I hope my Flyers get an invite. I know there has been some consternation as to why UD. I can assure you that UD fits the profile of what the Big East is looking for. Basketball is our Religion. We love our Flyers. If invited you will find that we will travel better than most schools to your home court. Generally at any of the preseason tourneys we are involved in we have the largest contingent. We have a very good basketball tradition that goes back a long way. We have a much better and more stable program than several of the current C7. The Big East would never regret inviting the Flyers. My hope is they do. UD Earl.

Can't wait for an announcement. It sounds like it could come out any time now.

I don't trust anything that ESPN writes about the BE/C7. In my opinion, take their reporting for what it is.
