What I'm talking about is that in spite of an injury the Pirates need to find a way to win that game. Gibbs still played most of the game. SHU should have been up by 20 when he went down, and regardless, Sina, Teague, Mobley, Oliver should still dominate that team. The net is that it is just another poor SHU effort that negatively affects the league.

Last night NONE of those players was better than St. Peter's guard who went for 34 on NBA range 3's. Even still Oliver did everything he's capable of, Teague was fine, Mobley was OK, and Sina made a couple of Freshman errors b/c he was the only available PG left, he did the same thing against OK- that's what freshman do sometimes.

Anyway I'm done with talking to you. You're not serious. In the post you first responded to I said I was jk (just kidding) and I get how bad the lost is. My point was though Only you would think a SHU fan would care more about a bad loss in December to losing their starting PG to a knee injury. Yet, you're like a dark cloud always trying to find a place to rain and couldn't help yourself with another hater tirade. Enjoy the rest of season, just don't involve me though.

Blackmon and Whitehead are both 5 stars, so it's a toss up if you believe in the stars. I have not seen Whitehead nor Johnson play, so I have no comment on them. I have seen Blackmon and he is a pretty good shooter.

I have seen a little of Johnson (Solid former Hoya recruit) & a little more of Blackmon (Big Time) & a lot of IW (still underrated IMO). SHU & IU did well.

Hall, I found some week old stats and after two games Blackmon averaged 46.5 ppg on 62% shooting. I have no idea whom Marion played, but that would be impressive in a pick schoolyard up game!

Thanks to all our Big East brethren for the many congratulations on our Crosstown win last night over cincinnati,

I was at the game and some take aways - the team that played last night is a vastly improved team over the one we sent to Atlantis. In Atlantis, you may recall we came out strong against Iowa, and as soon as Semaj Christon was sidelined by cramps, well that was the end of the Battle of Atlantis for us. Last night Semaj didn't really play all that much, given early foul trouble, and instead of collapsing like in Atlantis the team marched right on along without him. That said, we do have to take into account the abnormally high three point shooting percentage and the fact that UC can't make free throws to save their lives.

For those that weren't aware, this was the second year of a two year contract with US Bank Arena to have the game at a neutral site following some events we really don't need to rehash again. They are supposed to evaluate it and decide if they want to stay at US Bank Arena, move the game back to a home/home at the two schools on campus arenas (Yes, Please!!!!), or drop the series altogether. I don't think anybody really wants option 3. I mention this as the attendance last night was officially announced as 10,250 - that number just happens to also be the seating capacity of Cintas Center. Speculation has begun that the announced attendance may have been fudged to make the point that all the fans who wanted to buy tickets to the game could have been accomodated at Xavier's Cintas Center, and both schools could have saved the money spent to rent US Bank Arena. US Bank seats 16,000 in basketball configuration, and much of the upper level was in fact empty.

"Hater tirade?". Hall, your program frustrates the crap out of me. Sorry I didn't gush with rainbows and unicorns and encourage the Pirates to " go get 'me next time, boys." We need SHU to get its act together. You guys need to start contributing, not leaning on the others to carry the banner of this conference, for yet another year. No one is expecting SHU to beat Duke--we just can't have you keep losing to the St Peters and FDU's of the world. What is frustrating is that you have some good players. Injuries happen. Single, bad games occur. Xavier went 0/3 in Atlantis, had its best player in foul trouble the whole game yesterday and still figured out a way to spank Cinci. How couldn't SHU figure out how to guard kids who would never sniff a BE roster, on their home court. If we are going to call ourselves a big time conference losing multiple games to slop programs is just not acceptable. I feel bad for your injuries but Williard needs to get this team together and quick. The worst part is I envision SHU knocking off one of our bubble teams in conference and that being held against them as a "bad" loss come tourney time.

Losing Barlow at the end hurt them. Barlow keeps that team in their offense and keeps them playing on an even keel. Not a bad get as a walk-on point guard.
