A year where we got the bids that Lunardi was saying the other day- would not be good for us as our first one. Especially with UConn, Louisville, Cuse getting very high seeds. We have to perform on the floor, or eventually the recruiting will start to dry up some.

There is nothing happening out there that supports this claim- nothing. It seems you are very motivated to keep identifying worse case scenarios for the BE, regardless of how likely they are. If anything signs are that the BE's recruiting has gone up because of losing teams, not in spite of.
Btw, where have I said how little (or much) this season matters. How much this season matters doesn't change the current state of the conference. I was just handicapping the reality of the state of the BE in its first year, just like Westroads did.

To say like Westwood- It's a going to be a great season regardless of OOC- is frankly a joke. OOC is where you are compared to the other conferences. Eventually we have to beat other conferences or our perception will go down. That's just the cold facts.

Speak for yourself and your hoyas.
The conference just signed a $500M deal with Fox, Our schools are all over the tv, we are recruiting our a$$es off, and we don't play in a league with Tulane, this will be a fantastic year regardless.
Wizard of Westroads wrote:This conference is built for the long term. We're recruiting well and we have a solid lineup of teams. As for this year, the league lost Louisville and Syracuse, GT and Marq are down. That's the story. Meanwhile, Nova is carrying the banner for us and everybody else is trying to find where they fit in. It's going to be a great season regardless of OOC.

Spoken like a true Seton Hall fan. Most BE fans are used to being in a top 2 conference, not just content to be in the top 5.

I've said constantly that we needed to have a good year this year. Most C7 fans are used to being in a top 2 conference. That's the truth.
I said and continue to say that the A10 and MWC are just as much of a major conference as the SEC. The computers bare it out, especially with the A10. We are going to be in direct competition with the A10 getting teams in. That is what it is.
