The top 4 for the AAC- UConn, Cincy, Memphis, and Louisville have done very well so far- losing to only Oklahoma St(avenged tonight), and North Carolina. Those 4 should get in rather easily. The question for the AAC is could a SMU(6-2 so far) sneak in there?

The jury's out on Memphis in-conference IMO. Not sold on how well they will handle the step up in competition.

even if they go 10-8(probably absolutely the worst case scenario)- they should have no problem getting in. A win like tonight is huge for them vs Oklahoma St.

I think everyone needs to chill. We are getting at least 4 bids. Let the season play out. Things will fall into place. There are not a lot of great teams out there. The BE could have helped itself better this weekend, we didn't. Long season. Let it play out before we all start predicting the tourney field. Even DePaul has a shot at this point.

I think 4 is fairly safe(though could see a scenario where it wouldn't be). I don't think we have much of a shot at 5 or 6. I mean, right now 5 of our teams have 2 losses, and 4 have 3 losses. That's a problem. We are 3-14 vs the RPI top 50. That's a problem. Our #2 RPI team right now is ranked 42nd(much worse than any of the other power conferences).

I don't dispute that DePaul has a shot even. I just dispute that we have any real shot now to get 5-6 teams in. We're more likely to only get 3 in than to get 6 in.

In regards to the Big 4 of the AAC, I still want to see more from Cincinnatti. So far their schedule has been N.C. Central, NC State, Appalachian State, Campbell, Mass-Lowell and Kennesaw State. Not exactly Murderers Row. NC State is a nice victory but they are only expected to finish in 11th place in the ACC this year. The Bearcats will be playing New Mexico, Xavier and Pitt in the next couple of weeks.

This weekend was definately disappointing for the Big East. I thought we would do better than 7-10 from Friday through Sunday's games.

well, NC Central did beat NC State- and is undefeated when not playing Cincy.

They have some very interesting December games for sure that will tell us a lot.

AAC has done a lot early this year. UConn and Memphis winning tournaments. Cincy undefeated. Louisville losing only to UNC. SMU 6-2.
