I don't think anybody can match up with Carson; he's that good. Marquette got him into early foul trouble. I hope we can do something like that too, but last year he dropped 30 on us.
I will certainly concede that Marquette is better defensive team than Creighton. We'd rather turn this game into a shoot out rather than a grind it out affair. Makes for an entertaining game to watch, but perhaps not the most appealing to defensive purists.

Last year you didn't have Brooks. Anybody who's seen my post know that I think he changes the dynamic for CU when he's out there. Last game it wasn't needed b/c Chatman played one of the best games I've seen a pg play so far this year. Also if MU's backcourt could score against ASU I think Brooks can too.

Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but Brooks is a worse defender than Chatman. Much worse.
Don't get me wrong, I love what he brings the team offensively. But your statement that we'll be able to defend Carson better this year because of Brooks just doesn't mesh with reality very well.
TheHall wrote:Wow you totally missed my point....I said when Brooks & Chapman go at Carson, meaning they attack him on offense...not when they stop Carson on defense. For some reason I'm guessing some BlueJay fans don't like the East Coaster Brooks, hope I'm wrong.

You are very wrong. I'd say that Brooks has made a splash with the fanbase. He certainly brings us a component that we were lacking before.
