Trust me I hear you, I'm just refusing to go overboard and say damn the season (NCAAT) is shot if we loose.

The thing is for Seton Hall- 2 losses- and they have 3 already. Would mean best case is 10-3 OOC- and that would be with a win @ Rutgers. You'd have to find 9 conference wins and a tourney win to get to 20. I just don't see them getting to 9 conference wins.

Earlier I was confused about the VT thing, so I get your point 1-1 is the only acceptable worst case scenario. But I still say just b/c someone doesn't think SHU can go .500 in conference means little in Nov. There is no track record of how true round robin in-conference play will go for these BE teams, none. Even though you may not be able to, I could easily see SHU playing much better ball in Jan & Feb.

I could see them playing better ball- but not showing up on the floor with wins/losses. I think for one- could easily see you guys starting out 0-5- 1st 5 are @ Providence, Creighton, Villanova, @ Marquette, and @ Georgetown. The 6th game is @ St John's. You can't get much tougher than that. I think 2-4 is absolute best case, and 1-5 or 0-6 is very reasonable.

In the never ending saga of PC's two freshmen, apparently the school disciplinary hearing was yesterday and they boarded a separate plane to the Virgin Islands this morning and will be playing in the tournament. Hopefully this is a lesson learned.

Hoya's up 12 with 17 to go. Kansas St got upset, so if we win- we'd see Charlotte tomorrow....

Hoyas now tied with 5 to go. Would not be a good loss for G'town or the Big East.

Georgetown guards which is supposed to be the strength to the team have been brutal. This will be a bad loss.

The only minimal saving grace of this is that K-State also lost so GTown can redeem itself a tiny bit by beating the Wildcats. The loser of Florida State/VCU should also get through to the consolation bracket final, so if GTown can beat K-State they will still face two quality opponents.

Otherwise, this is a face-plant, through and through. The Hoyas have such a brutal schedule that they needed some wins early to pad the win total, and the league can't be having bad losses by their power teams so early.

a brutal loss. I tell you what, I think Georgetown may have a problem even making the tourney. 2 losses already, and games with Kansas and Michigan St- I'm not liking the chances there. Wright St may wind up being our best win OOC. That would be a 8-4 OOC schedule- with no quality wins at all and a pretty bad loss(Northeastern was 165 in Ken Pom today, #4 in the CAA. They have losses already to Boston U and Stony Brook.). Oh well, at least Georgetown won't have the problem of playing a 14/15 seed this year :)
