I get why Marquette could be considered a possible 1 seed, but UConn could lose almost everyone.

I get it with the UConn hype. They just won a NC. They earned that for sure; played great.

Now take their heart and soul out of the lineup--Hawkins, Sanogo and Jackson--and someone tell me how they will be replaced. The problem is when everyone moves up a peg, their own roles have to be replaced too, and the dynamic changes. Does anyone know if Clingan can play more than 20 MPG? He's never been asked to do that. Can Karaban be more than an opportunistic spot up shooter and become a true go to guy? Is that his skill set (to be the focus on the offense)? Is Newton their alpha now? Do we really expect 18 year old Frosh to step on campus and compete (successfully) against 23 yo's in year 5 of college? If I were betting futures I would put my money on Creighton and Marq. to compete for the league title and UConn, Nova, SJU and X to battle it out for spots 3-6. Now in this conf 3rd place might be Top 10-15 in the country. But I wouldn't bet on the Huskies now that we know who's not returning.
