Zack Freemantle in a walking boot and doubtful for the Wednesday showdown with PC. Word is a re-aggravation of last years stress fracture. This is huge news.

That’s awful news. I enjoy watching XU this year and Zach was XUs best player against Creighton this past weekend. Hopefully it’s something that he can recover from quickly

Any word how he was injured? I didn’t notice anything during their game in Omaha.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

from Matt Norlander:
Breaking: Xavier's Zach Freemantle will miss at least a month with a left foot injury, Sean Miller told @CBSSports. It's the same foot he had surgery on in 2021. Freemantle's among the most efficient bigs in the country: 15.2 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 58.5 FG%.

Well, I did. I couldn't figure out why his minutes were so limited, particularly in the second half when the fouls issue was not a factor. Not an excuse for the loss, though. Creighton was clearly the better team that day.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

Tough break for X. He was playing the best bb of his career. The best news is that he will be available later in the season and is not done for the year!

One month is probably the best possible news. Let's hope he back at full strength for the post season.

WLW reported yesterday he is returning to practice.

Yeah Chap,
Lost 3 games in his absence by a total of FOUR points. Gotta think he reverses at least 2 of them. Even if it was just 1, tomorrow at Providence means a lot less. I think the #2 seed avoids you guys on Thursday..... that's huge IMO.
